The Inn at Knife Shop Falls - A Historic Waterfront Getaway

Calling all history buffs and nature lovers! Relax and recharge in this beautiful WATERFRONT 190-year-old piece of Connecticut history. Hiking, fishing, boating all from the backyard or within walking distance. Cool off in the summer by spending a day swimming at Nystroms Pond. Ice fishing, ice skating, sledding and cross-country skiing in the winter. Relax in the cozy living room, dine at a nearby fine restaurant or enjoy a home cooked meal in our farmhouse kitchen.

The space
Historic 3-bedroom house with second floor large master bedroom (with en suite home office), 2 smaller bedrooms with waterfall views and a spacious full bath. Main floor includes living room / dining room combo, farmhouse kitchen and half bath. French doors lead out to back deck and spacious yard that touches Northfield Pond and Knife Shop Falls. Screened sunroom off of the kitchen allows for enjoyable morning coffee and evening drinks, meals, teatime and more spent outside.

Guest access
A car is required to get most places. We allow up to 3 cars per reservation.
Other things to note
We love parties but DO NOT allow them on the property.
Black bears, coyotes, fox and bobcats are common in the area so NEVER leave food outside overnight or garbage outside of the pails. We recommend that if you go hiking in the area you bring a loud whistle or bell as most animals are scared off by noise.

**Pet Regulations for Renters**

To ensure a safe and enjoyable experience for all guests and their pets, the following pet regulations are established for renters staying at our property:

Pet Size and Breed
- Only dogs under 50lbs are permitted.
- Specific breeds may be restricted due to allergies or insurance limitations; please inquire prior to booking.
-Pets must be up to date on their flea and tick prevention.

Pet Number
- A maximum of **two (2) pets** is allowed per booking.

Pet Fees
- A **non-refundable pet fee** of $50 will be charged to cover additional cleaning and potential damages.
- This fee is applied at the time of booking and is separate from the standard accommodation fees.

Behavior
- Pets must be leashed when outside the property and in public areas.
- Pets MUST be crated when left alone. Pets should not be left alone in the accommodation for extended periods.
- Excessive barking or noise that disturbs neighbors may result in additional fees or cancellation of the stay.

Cleanup
- Renters are responsible for cleaning up after their pets promptly.
- Guests must dispose of pet waste in designated areas.
- Failure to clean up after pets may result in additional cleaning fees.

Liability
- Guests assume full responsibility for the actions of their pets during the stay.
- Renters agree to cover any damages or injuries caused by their pets.
