The place was a little dingy but the location in Leiden was great. It is supposed to be closing at the first of May.

Proper hotel maar kamer was heel erg koud. Geen verwarming en warme lucht airco werkte niet. Graag extra lakens voorzien voor koude winterdagen.

The rooms were lovely and well-maintained. Excellent cleaning and hotel staff. From the night porter who let me in when I arrived late without calling in advance, the front desk staff who were always and offering coffee to the cleaning people who did a magnificent job cleaning the room every day perfectly it was lovely.

The hotel is in a nice walkable area of the city, close to the shops and market. What I didn't like about the hotel was the breakfast available in the restaurant, it was too expensive for what it offers. Next time I'll eat out.

Everything you need from a hotel
Very well located hotel in the centre of Leiden. Hotel was quiet despite the central location. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was a good size, clean and comfortable. It felt a little dated but that doesn't really matter unless you plan to spend a lot of time in the hotel. If you're looking for a convenient, well placed hotel for your trip to Leiden, I would definitely recommend the Best Western City Hotel.

Great people, good hotel
The staff here were very helpful, from ensuring I was checked into a room when I arrived early, to taking care of a package I wanted to leave for a friend who I couldn't quite arrange to catch up with. The hotel is quite old, though, so the condition was not so great, but the bed was comfortable and the stay was nice enough. The location is excellent, between the train station and city centre.

The staff was so accommodating, pleasant and we appreciated the extra service they provided us. Our train was delayed and we had to arrive past 11pm. The hotel front desk person waited for us to arrive and sign us in. The hotel was clean and functional and convenient. We would stay there again if ever in Leiden.

OK hotel in Leiden but nothing special
Our stay was very nice. The hotel is basic, no frills. Clean, and staff were friendly and helpful. Sadly, the chain was very inflexible with regards to refunds during Covid.

Happy
Had to change my room because my bed was uncomfortable but it was no problem and staff were very accommodating next room bed was perfect . Breakfast was really good and the staff overall were fabulous . This was my second visit to this hotel and I shall be back to stay the location couldn’t be any better .

The location is excellent and staff friendly and helpful. Amenities have a lot to be desired. We were there for a wedding so had several rooms booked. None of the air conditioners worked - there weren’t even remotes to use them so obviously the hotel knew there was a problem but had not fixed it. The towels were super thin but bedding was fine.

Very pleasant stay
I stayed at the Best Western for two weeks and was very satisfied with the location, comfort and service at this hotel. In particular, the room and bathroom were both spacious, and the breakfast on offer each day was good.

Very good location. Street parking available but cheaper to park in public lot and convenient to access with shuttle. WiFi did not work well in room 306 which seemed to be unusual according to reception. Comfortable bed. Yay
