Charming colonial building on the central square. Nice cafe downstairs. Good coffee. Balcony is a plus. A quirky touch was that ask customers to remove shoes and leave them in the lobby. Wish i could have had a water boiler in the room. Authentic old building with squeaky floor
I had been recommended this hotel/guesthouse as a good stopping point on my way to Champasak. This was good as the bus journey was an experience!
I enjoyed my time at this hotel, and I had a room with a balcony. The staff were friendly and I enjoyed the food that I had over the time I was there.
After staying in a suite last time, i thought the deluxe would be a good and cheaper option. The difference between the two is immense. The deluxe room is hardly deluxe, with NO TV or Tea/Coffee making facilities as described upon their website & Expedia. The private bathroom is hardly that...a shower cubicle (my rain shower squirted water all over the floor causing a huge mess), and a separate cubicle for the toilet. The vanity sink etc is actually in the room....so NO private bathroom. The front door (and balcony doors) are very difficult to shut...leading to security issues.
Confronted staff about the deception who couldn't help as their "manager" was away. Promises that he would contact me did not prevail.
Such a shame and a huge disappointment. The only 1 positive thing is that balcony was good.
The place is ALL ABOUT THE MONEY!
just how I remember hotels of that rate.
Perfect for the cost but food a little pricy, compared to other restaurants, but very good.
Service is excellent.
