"This was one of the best hotel stay during a 2 week trip. The hotel is located right next to the JR Takamatsu station with taxis and major bus terminal in front. The ultimate convenience when touring the area. Also, there are seemingly limitless dining options in front of the hotel. The room had a spectacular view of Takamatsu Castle Ruins in front and the Takamatsu Symbol Tower from the side window. "This property is right by a large shopping area filled with dining areas and shops making it a good location for visitors. We booked a smoking room by accident so the room did smell like smoke but that was on us. Staff was very helpful and accommodating for foreigners and they also offer free breakfast from 6-9am. "

"Nice place, good location, helpful staff, very weird breakfast (de-facto the thing called "breakfast" was a pack of some dishes collected and placed in a paper bag. It was small, and I doubt if eatable at all - tested some of them and the test bite was actually the only bite I did)"

"If you paid to stay at this hotel, you have already paid too much. The only redeeming quality of this place is the staff, they were friendly and polite. As for the building, to call this hotel "dated" is an understatement as it is right out of the 1960s. The room was hot and the AC was not working properly. We opened the windows to cool off, but the area around the hotel was not great. It was noisy and smelled like diesel. The room had a lot of dust and the carpets were dirty. I would not...

"The property is a historic residence converted for hospitality. It's lovingly restored with modern facilities comfortable for westerners while still feeling like you're in historic Japan. The owners were amazing with coordination and really friendly. Would definitely go back and would stay longer next time!"
