Good for the Soul
Wonderful property with incredible vistas. Perfect location for exploring Le Marche, 30 minutes from Urbino or the coast. Surrounded by charming villages, restaurants and friendly people. In addition, the homeowner was very responsive and helpful.

Wonderful Stay!
The villa was absolutely lovely, and set in a stunning, quiet location near to many great places to visit. It had everything we needed to ensure that we were guaranteed a super holiday, including the added bonus of air conditioning which helped to keep us cool in the unexpectedly warm temperatures for end of September/early October. Our lovely host, Fiona, sent lots of really helpful information on places to visit, restaurants etc, which meant that we could really plan our holiday. Many thanks to Fiona and the local housekeeper for making our holiday so memorable!

Beautiful Location
We really enjoyed our six nights in this peaceful country house. The views from the house across the valley are amazing---a great place to relax after a day of exploring the local area. Le Marche itself is very rural, so getting around the country roads can be tiring, but it's also part of its charm.

Truly delightful
Ca' Stefioli was just as described. Very private and peaceful location. Lovely view across the valley from rear veranda; fields and hills changed colors at different times of the day, and sunsets were gorgeous. Rooms were bright and comfortable, but steps throughout the house might be difficult to navigate for elderly guests. Shopkeepers in Barchi and Orciano were very friendly, and we found everything we needed. Recommended local restaurants were spot-on, and we discovered several more on our own. Impossible to go wrong with local cuisine! When a huge swarm of honey bees took up residence inside one of the shutters, Sylvia called a neighbor Antonio to smoke them out, locate the queen, and move the entire hive in a box to a nearby beekeeper's...quite an adventure, and we made new friends! Driving on country roads is not for the faint-hearted, but the place is less than an hour's drive from beautiful Furlo Gorge, the spectacular Frasassi caves, and the ducal palace at Urbino. We spent a glorious day strolling through the seaside town of Pesaro. Loved the display of Roman bronzes at the small museum in Pergola, but were a bit disappointed with the disorganization of the paper museum in medieval Fabriano. We could easily have used two more weeks for day trips further south...but maybe next time! Thanks to Fiona for sharing her special place with us.

Historic Farmhouse Gem
Well maintained inside and out with incredible views west over lush rolling hills in the Italian Countryside. Host provided great accommodations in a very well appointed home. Host was very responsive and further provided great details on everything you needed to know about the area.

Rural retreat
Fantastic farm house in a rural setting with beautiful views over the valley. Spacious house with grand living areas with highlight being the covered terrace. Totally remote and yet only minutes from a number of historic villages and a number of shopping options for any supplies you need. A great place for a family, a group of friends or just a couple.

Beyond Expectations
Upon our arrival at Ca Stefioli (after hours on the Autostrada in driving rain and wind) the sun magically broke through the clouds and we were met with the most charming stone house set on the edge of one of the most spectacular scenic vistas we have ever seen. Before unpacking, we just sat on the terrace and drank in the views. Over the next two weeks we spent part of every day simply enjoying the surroundings, as well as the spectacular sunsets at the end of nearly every day. The house itself was comfortable and roomy, equipped with everything you might need. At night, from the bedrooms on the second floor, you can see the lights of distant villages on the hills and on clear nights, a thousand stars. The location is also perfect for exploring the popular sites in the Marche. We particularly enjoyed San Marino, Gubbio, Pesaro, Urbino, and Fano, in that order. The nearby towns of Barchi and Mondavio were great for shopping and dinners. Not to be missed is nearby Furlo Gorge. We loved everything about this vacation and hope to return again soon.

Beautiful property with stunning views
I like to paint when I’m on holiday and this place provided me with such a variety of inspiration. Sitting out on the terrace with the pergola shading the sun we drank in that view for hours. With at least, I think, a 160 degree span of the hills, it was so relaxing just to watch the light shift, change and dance. We picked and ate figs for breakfast - hope that was OK! Local villages, like Barchi gave us a chance to stretch our legs and the swimming in Fano was dreamy. Fano is a nice town, the market on the Saturday was a good trip out too and we came back loaded up with cheeses, bread, fruit and veg, for more meals on the terrace! The house is lovely, very clean and obviously much loved. I loved it too and to be honest it did give me a bit of ‘property envy’! Hope very much to come again :-)

Charming, authentic farmhouse with a wonderful view!
We loved your place, Fiona! Beautiful, nicely maintained and very well equipped farmhouse in a wonderful rural location! The local little villages are must to visit with Mondavio as a gem. The coastal towns Fano and Pesaro offer a good variety of truly wonderful and simple fish restaurants – we have our favourites! And finally, having been to Le Marche for the fourth time, we finally made it to Urbino – a hometown of Raphael and le Grotte di Frasassi! Thank you, Fiona, for our truly memorable and utterly authentic stay at your beautiful farmhouse – we would love to come back! Highly recommended!

Perfect Location
A lovely villa, in a perfect location, absolute silence, Bliss. Ideal for walkers and relaxing in the garden with a glass of the local wine but not for night clubbers and theme park enthusiasts.Very interesting historical villages to visit. Amazing food in the local restaurants. Highly recommend.

Lovely quiet house with a wonderful view.
We had a very refreshing fortnight pottering around exploring the area and relaxing in the house and garden. One of the most relaxing holidays we have ever had. Everything was as described in the brochure and there was a helpful list of local restaurants and sights to see. The restaurant at Furlo was particularly memorable. Instructions for finding the house were excellent. It was spotlessly clean and well maintained. The only thing to note about the area (which is very unspoilt and untouristy) is that opening hours at local museums are severely restricted so one needs to plan carefully! The Gelateria next to the Fish Market in Fano got lots of custom.

Owner provided clear and necessary directions to somewhat funny arrival point and welcome suggestions for local restaurants, shops and sites. Much appreciated! House is fully equipped, lovely linens and bathrooms. Had to tear ourselves away from front patio and its view to explore this beautiful part of Italy.

Tolles Ferienhaus in traumhafter Lage
Das große und gut ausgestattete Haus hat eine traumhafte Lage. Der Blick von der Terrasse ist unbeschreiblich. Ruhe pur. Die Kommunikation mit dem Gastgeber verlief unkompliziert. Die Umgebung bietet enorm viele Ausflugsziele, ob Meer (Fano) oder Berge (Urbino), kleine Orte (Mondavio) oder größere Städte (Ancona), alles in unmittelbarer Nähe. Wir können das Haus auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen!

Traumhaft gelegenes Haus mit Panorama-Terasse
Wir haben den Aufenthalt im Haus sehr genossen. Der Kontakt mit dem Vermieter verlief reibungslos und wir haben das Haus in einem sauberen Zustand übernommen. Das Highlight des Hauses ist wohl die große Terasse mit traumhaftem Ausblick auf die umliegende Hügel-/Berglandschaft, aber auch das Innere des Hauses ließ keine Wünsche offen. Zum Meer sind es ca. 30 min und auch in der Umgebung gibt es viele lohnenswerte Ziele, die wir in der Woche gar nicht alle besuchen konnten. Die studentisch geprägte und lebendige Stadt Urbino mit dem prächtigen Palast hat uns sehr gefallen. Wir können die Region und das schöne Haus bedenkenlos empfehlen.

Glorious!
With views from the vine-covered terrace over rolling hills and cultivated feels, the songbirds' dawn chorus, the metronomic tolling of the Scops owls at night, this lovely stone cottage delights the senses. We spent a restorative week here, making day trips to Gubbio, Urbino, Fossombrone, and the various nearby hill-top towns. Had we world enough and time, would have stayed longer.

Gut ausgestattetes Ferienhaus mit toller Terrasse und Aussicht in sehr ruhiger Lage
Das Ferienhaus liegt ca. 100m unterhalb einer Straße an einem Hang mit Blick in die Hügellandschaft und die dahinterliegende Bergkette und hat den ganzen Tag Sonne. Man kann in völliger Ruhe auf der Terrasse oder im Garten die Natur genießen. Das Ferienhaus ist gut ausgestattet und verfügt über zwei Bäder und eine vernünftige Heizung! Sehr sauber. Von den englischen Eigentümern gab es per Mail viele hilfreiche Tipps. In der näheren Umgebung gibt es einige nette Landstädtchen. Highlights wie Urbino, Fano oder Gubbio und Perugia sind in 30 bzw. 60 Minuten zu erreichen.
