"Tout d'abord la demeure des propriétaires a été rénovée et décorée avec goût (petit + pour les peintures de l'appartement réalisées par Fabrine, la maîtresse des lieux). Total confort, tout y est, comme à la maison (lave-vaisselle, lave linge, cafetière, four, micro-ondes...). "A lovely holiday. The gite has a beautiful garden to sit in and is equipped to a very good standard.A warm welcome from René and Nicole on our arrival. We came to see the Châteaux of the Loire and there were many located very close to the gite. We didn't realise from the description that the bathroom was on a different floor to the bedrooms. This wasn't a problem for us, but could have been for others."

"We had a wonderful time. Frederic has a very special place; beautifully and thoughtfully presented with everything we could need for us and our two young children. The surroundings are hard to beat too - we explored local vineyards, castles and swimming lakes as well as lovely Chinon a short drive away. We wish we could have stayed longer - we would love to return and tick more off the list!"

"The gite was lovely and in a beautiful village with a number of restaurants within easy walking distance. Sylvie was very welcoming and always friendly. "Nothing like the pictures when we booked. Very shabby accommodation. One indoor very crowded pool and No facilities on site, you have to go int Saumur which is a lovely city. You have to pay extra for bedding . Beds uncomfortable and furniture all very old. Definitely not worth the money. "

"A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. It was lovely and convenient for restaurants, the chateau and the bakery. Gilles, our host was at the end of a phone if we needed him. Nicole the housekeeper made us welcome...

"the bed was a sofa bed although the mattress was ok every time we moved it made load squeaking noise the large entrance gates were attached to our outside wall so every time they were used it felt like the wall was moving and a very loud banging noise some gest returned after midnight some left early about 6 Am the location we good, only a short walk to the restaurants, and near the steps to the chateaux there was free parking in the street"
