"The house was exactly as the photos show - well equipped, clean and comfortable with a view over the marina and the river. We had to call our hosts with a power issue on our first night and they couldn't have been more helpful. We weren't there on holiday so didn't get chance to explore the town or area properly but hope to do so on future visits."

"Very large property, lots of space in kitchen/diner and two living rooms, plus utility room. Family party of seven seniors, felt very at home here. Kitchen had just about everything, you just had to find where things were. Four bedrooms, three doubles and one twin bedded. Onsuite bathroom with the master bedroom. Fairly large secluded garden, with several outdoor seating areas. Quiet area, easy parking for 3 – 4 vehicles. Very quick responses from excellent, obliging host. Only improvement...

"Quaint cottage sums it up perfectly. The little courtyard sun trap was a real bonus. The cottage is comfortable and convenient and the hosts were happy to attend to any need. Cambridge is beautiful with a real vibe of ernest progress, we really enjoyed our stay."

"Stayed 3 nights Tv dident work Window in my room looked into the kitchen lol don’t know why Shower down stairs had no hot water had to use the one upstairs which was shared with a lot more people Light shade fell of randomly and the ceiling rose with it sofa bed was awful to sleep on Communication was ok Parking was rubbish at the back of a council estate near some garages will not be returning "

"The accommodation was comfortable. The bathroom is in need of updating and a deep clean although the shower was excellent. The outside of the property belied the inside - it is in need of care and attention, the bins were overflowing and the brambles had taken over."

"Stayed 2 nights with friends attending the graduation ceremony in town. Good area for interesting restaurants and shops. Within 20 min walking distance into town centre. Clean and modern fixtures and bathroom. Only gripe would be a very stiff front door lock and no welcome pack. But all in all would recommend."

Was hard to get hold of the owner and get check in instructions. I had to chase a few times and get vrbo to chase them. On the morning of check in I was advised to transfer a security deposit of a few hundred pounds to get the check in details. It was all fine but I was nervous we wouldn't get the details in time. "Small but cosy annex. Kettle, mugs, tea, coffee etc provided. Bed comfortable. Only useful for short stays as no kitchen facilities but plenty of pubs and eating places a short trip away. We stayed for 4 nights and managed with no problems. Would recommend."

"While there was some confusion and anxiety on our first day regarding fees, and the exterior of the property was unkempt, the stay was good and our host provided excellent communications. I would add that the furniture is inusually well-used."

"This is a large house, which could potentially sleep 7 in 4 bedrooms. It was very clean throughout and 2 bathrooms was helpful. It is a 35 minute walk from the city but it’s an easy walk! Taxi’s were also reasonable. Would recommend for a group!"

"Great spot and rooms and well kept. We could hear people walking above our room and the carpet is not conducive for luggage. Staff are incredibly friwndly and helpful. "

"A unique place to stay that really ticked the boxes - I stayed as part of a group and each of us enjoyed the experience, the birds, meerkats, tortoises & reptiles adding to an amazing stay! The bird show (included in price) was good and the staff extremely knowledgeable - the self contained rooms were very clean & comfortable and having a kitchenette with fridge/toaster etc was perfect, the en-suite shower room was large & again very clean - highly recommend a stay here!"

"Comfortable and spacious room, paintwork in need of a little touch up in places, bathroom excellent, room a touch warm at night, hotel parking good, Christmas decorations and ambience excellent. We did not have breakfast either day, but had coffee with friends, very good and swift service"
