Nice hotel, this is an expensive town to stay, Parking is a major problem. room was small and very clean. no front desk available if you arrive late. Shopping and food is a very short walk from the hotel.
We only stayed because we had an evening event and did not want to drive back to Durango. The room cost alone made it so we could not afford skiing while in tride.
I will admit to being a healthy 70-year-old traveling alone with her dog and familiar with T-ride. I arrived on a summer afternoon, checked in, then realized that there were no services to help unload my car and the room was upstairs with no elevator available. The room has no style is is overly packed with over sized furniture from the 1960s. The only windows were facing an alley through which everyone staying at the property drove through or walked through, and when in a group, always talked -- loudly. A light shone in from the alley and the need to keep the windows open for air circulation meant that the room was loud and lit at night. I seriously considered sleeping in my car.
Nothing fancy, but super convenient and best price for ski in/out
Parking is a bit of a challenge, but they use the adjacent Carhenge lot which worked out OK. The room was basic but clean and had everything I needed. Super convenient to the Coonskin lift. Front desk was helpful and friendly.
Final price was WAY higher than advertised price due to outrageous fees being added at checkout. Feels like bait and switch. What ever happened to "truth in advertising"?
I didn’t get to spend much time there, but it seems like a great location and reasonably priced for the area. It was right next to the river with trails and restaurants right down the street.
