My husband and I recently stayed overnight and mostly had a good stay; however, we likely won't return in the future. For context, we are full-time travelers and have a good sense of quality for value, having stayed all over the world. Here are our reflections to help you decide if this is worth your stay:
PROS: very friendly and welcoming staff; the lobby has coffee, tea, and ice water; location is a relatively close walk to downtown & gondola; nicely cleaned and fresh-smelling; comfy bed/bedding; a really good sized bathroom; having overflow parking nearby is so helpful (since the on-site lot is tiny); an ice machine and one washer/dryer.
CONS: overpriced for this dated building and ultimate value; parking is cumbersome (but available, so yay!); check-in (4p) / check-out (10a) is off by most other hotels by 2 hours (usually always 2 or 3p check-in / 11a or 12p check-out); the front desk doesn't open until 9a - so no coffee until then (sorry early birds) and you just leave keys in the room if checking out prior; no A/C - super toasty in the day, evening cooled down (thanks for providing a small fan to make more comfortable); given there is no a/c, your windows are always open and it was quite noisy (at least our second-floor, corner unit was); no elevator and no luggage carts - when the parking lot is full (including the two loading / unloading spots) and you have to park in the adjacent lot and carry tons of items up to the second floor, trust me - it's not fun.
If you are passing through, on a budget and don't mind the above cons, it's an option. But check your other options as well.
Safe travels!
