Amongst the natural beauty of the forest and as though a welcoming committee of south African animal sculptures was certainly a conversation among my whanau. The accommodation certainly exceeded my expectations. Warm, clean, spacious and all the utilities necessary to enjoy a wonder stay. Enjoyed meeting other holiday makers too. "Expensive for what it was, but it was Matatini so lucky to get a room at late notice. Staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. Location was the only reason for the noise being on the corner of a busy intersection of SH3 and the city centre."

"Our stay at the Millennium was absolutely fantastic! The room was spacious and comfortable we loved the bathroom! large shower, great water pressure and a spa bath. we enjoyed the location on the water front and being so close to the city centre food options are endless the shopping was great. The staff were friendly and ensure you have a wonderful time. Would definitely recommend this hotel to any one visiting Taranaki."

" All the staff there, we found to be so friendly, efficient and very helpful. Thank you to the chefs in the bistro bar for the delicious meals. Steaks cooked to perfection. Clean premises and guest room. Carpet in our room, although clean, looked a bit worn and also the single chair in our room, the material was frayed at the armrest. However, the amazing staff there, made the experience 10/10."
