"The hotel staff and people were spectacular! Breakfast was traditional Japanese style food, which may or may not suit westerners. Hotel is a bit dated and it shows. Our room was clean upon arrival; however, we encountered bugs and mosquitoes inside our 3rd floor room. This didn’t particularly bother us, but it may have an impact on other guests. "The rooms were large, clean and comfortable. Ibsen was well equipped and clean. I liked the indoor and outdoor options. Food was amazing. I would recommend adding the half board to your reservation. Transportation to station and ski resort was seamless. "

"Cozy, well maintained hotel 5 mins walk from Happo terminal. Very clean, with onsen which is great after a day of skiing! Guests who stayed there were all very respectful and more family oriented. Fantastic breakfast, and a wonderful team of staff that made us feel right at home. They even gave us a gift box at the end of the stay, so lovely!! Highly recommend!!"

"Hallways smelt poorly, carpets are stained throughout the facility. We got the 4 person japanese room (only 2 in the room) and it was adeqaute for us. Outdoor tub included with room can only hold two people, food included with half board was buffet style and wasn't very good, however had a decent selection of western, japanese and chinese cuisines."

"Great spot away from the busy Tokyo area. The rooms and the hotel is special in its own way and has a lot of character. Felt like being in my grandparents home. Really enjoyed staying here and it made it incredibly easy to walk to and from the train station to get bus tickets. Would definitely tell friends to stay here in the future. "

Theres a nice community lounge where people get warm and share stories about their day! Its also a 13min walk from Skyline Gondola and has many bars, restaurants, and food truck along the way!"
