"We have been wanting to stay at this property for a long time even before we moved to the Hill Country. The house is even nicer than the pictures. The view is amazing. You immediately feel at home. They have thought of everything you need and the beds and couch are comfortable. The bathroom is spacious. We especially loved the two separate porches one in the front and one in the back both have beautiful views although in the back you see a lot more wildlife. The family is wonderful as far as having feeders for hummingbirds and other birds as well as a flock of turkeys that come and hang out all around the house And then go down and eat at a feeder below it. The black buck are absolutely beautiful that come to the feeder too. While we were there, it rained one night and it was really neat to hear the rain hitting the roof but then the next morning we could still go walking. Strongly suggest going to the stock pond where you can immediately find fossils of clam shells. We even found some pieces of Nautilis fossil. The variety of wildflowers is wonderful and we even found some we don’t have even though we live only an hour north of the property. The owners provide you with a binder about the history of the property, which is rich and also a map so you can easily find the stock pond and other places to go to. "Great place for our getaway will stay again soon. Just bring bed sheets. pillows and blankets and towels kitchens are full equipped for cooking. Place was big and roomy and cozy Had a fireplace but didn’t use it. The area is under a burn ban at the moment so we wasn’t able to use firepit at nights walking distance to water hole to soak your feet for the time being Leakey about a 10min drive or so. A convenience store is about a 5min drive. Garner State park is about 10min drive as well. Very scenic area. Great views "
