Welcome to Casa de Blis!
This home is a serene oasis and a perfect fit for R&R or as an artist retreat.
This unique space is very close to downtown with the advantage of being in a safe, quiet residential neighborhood.
Skylights and Cathedral ceilings bring spaciousness and sunshine to the living room, dining and kitchen areas. Also, experience lovely Taos Mountain views from the backyard, both bedrooms and front porch!

Private yard is zeroscaped with beautiful flagstone paths, flagstone bench/table and an outdoor seating area that's perfect for watching sunsets, stars or enjoying your morning coffee. There's also a grill available if you choose to stay in and have a quiet evening at home.

Living Room has a CD/ stereo system, DVD and a TV equipped with Roku - so you can keep up with your netflix and favorite TV shows.

One special feature is the upright Steinway Piano.
In addition, there is a desk & small office alcove just in case you need to take care of business during your trip. And to keep the work serene - you will have a mountain view!
These additions make Casa de Blis a perfect artist / musician / writer retreat.

Casa de Blis is a 2 story townhome with a bedroom on the first floor (Queen) and as of 1/2018 the second floor (which is an open loft) features a Brand new Full size platform bed with memory foam mattress. In addition we have a brand new deluxe Queen size air mattress available. So the space easily sleeps 4-6.

2 full bathrooms one with tub and one with stall shower. Washer/Dryer. Full Kitchen is complete with dishes, pots/pans, microwave, coffee pot, appliances and cooking utensils. Linens & Wi-Fi are supplied.

Upstairs has a small AC unit to keep you cool in the summer and the Downstairs offers radiant heating to help warm your feet in the wintertime.

Nearby (walking distance) amenities include a Baskin Robbins, Supermarket, Taos Herb Company, Family Dollar, Bealls, Salon, Restaurants as well as The Taos Center for Natural Healing which is right next door! (amazing place for massages and other alternative treatments)

Place was very clean and as online listing.
We both enjoyed the stay and were able to explore area with as base camp. The night lights outside were nice touch. Only complaint was couches were broken down and unconvertable, but we did not spend much time watching TV anyway.

Relaxing & Rejuvenating!
My partner and I stayed at this beautiful Taos House on our way from Flagstaff to Colorado. We needed a retreat away from everyone and this was PERFECT. The house was clean, well furnished and the backyard was absolutely adorable. It was really close to some beautiful hiking & hot springs. Spacious, affordable and exactly what we were looking for. We're not a couple so it was nice to have our own floors! We're usually crammed into hotel rooms and small cars on our travels. Definitely check out the ale house next door...best burgers.

Property is very comfortable and clean. Tv set up is not friendly to old guys. 2 nd year at this property and are already planning for next year. . A few maintenance issues that need attention: bad skylights, no good knives, we cooked in a lot. BBQ is past its prime. All together a wonderful stay.

Disappointments
One issue was the inaccurate description of sleeping spaces. We had one very comfortable bed, one bed that was so-so, and that was it. There were four of us. One of our party slept the first night on the sofa bed, which was uncomfortable enough that she really didn't sleep much at all. And the second night, she tried the air mattress, which deflated in the middle of the night, and even though she reinflated it several times, it lost air, so she had to return to the very uncomfortable couch. The owners/manangers should have left instructions for how to use the mattress if there were special considerations. This experience was unacceptable. You advertised places for six to sleep, but our party of four was not well-served. And we paid the high Christmas price. The downstairs bath was dirty, especially around the baseboards, and the toilet clogged the second day badly. No amount of plunging could remedy it. Some kind of small black insect was crawling near the baseboards in the downstairs bath and on the kitchen counter. And the lock box combination and the WiFi codes the host sent were incorrect, causing unnecessary problems (like standing around in the bitter cold to take screen shots of the lock box). Lots of crumbs in the refrigerator didn't make for confidence in the level of care. For the price, I expected a better experience. It was my first time with VRBO. I am not impressed.

A week in Taos
My sister and I visited the Taos area for a week, to do some sightseeing and hiking. This property was perfect for the two of us. The neighborhood is very quiet and feels very safe. The next door neighbor was so courteous as to check in with us the day before he planned to do some noisy repair work in his back yard. We were out and about that next day, so it didn't affect us at all. But such thoughtfulness left an impression. This lovely little house has a perfect little fenced in yard and comes with all the amenities you need to prepare your own meals, to tidy up, to wash and dry your clothes. Two minor items to take into consideration: the downstairs mattress is very soft and the downstairs shower stall is very tight. These are observations, not criticisms. For us, the Casa de Blis was an excellent choice, and we'd gladly return.

Vrbo gave the wrong entrance information. Had to call property manager for access. Damp towels in linen area. Laundry left in the location was to other areas of Taos was great. The location was quiet . But fir the orice I was disappointeddryer. Rugs not vacuum cleaned- lint, hair pins and hair on rugs. Plaster peeling from living room window surround. Screen dooir at front did not connect with loop so couldn’t be used. Cracked tiles in kitchen area.

Good, but….
It was convenient to the Big Barn Dance but we did have to drive to the center of town to get a parking spot. The VRBO house was clean as expected. Great responses from the owner and local response team.

The property is swell, although I'd use the upstairs shower only in case of elbows hitting the wall. Communication with owner/manager was great, especially since the info from vrbo was wrong, and owner keeps trying to correct it. Thank you for the lovely space

March lodging in Taos
Roomy, nice , good location, good price. For what you get, you are not going to do better. It has everything you could possibly need except large compacity. Has very small washer and dryer. We just washed a super small load a few times every night. Full bed downstairs. Queen upstairs. And Futon in living room. Small window unit upstairs which was needed in March.

To be crystal clear, this house contains ONE queen bed, ONE full bed, a futon/couch, and an air mattress. Sleeping 6 is not accurate here unless they are small children

Home away from home.
We booked it as a 3 Bedroom but it is not quite a 3 Bedroom. However it is a 1 Master bedroom w/ chest of drawers & shelves in it with 2 more queen size beds upstairs in a huge particelly closely loft. There is a full size bathroom & a piano upstairs ! No chest of drawers, but some selves. Downstairs in living room we found that couch also is a sofa bed & the other couch is big enough to sleep another. Downstairs bathroom only has shower but holds washer& dryer. The kitchen & dining was equipped with what we needed. Our note in guess book was very positive. We loved our stay. The house is very comfortable & it could sleep more than 6. It is very spacious. Just let people know it not traditional Bedrooms

Spacious yet cozy
Casa De Blis is a very serene escape; we love every visit we make to this wonderful home. The remodeled upstairs bedroom is particularly welcoming, and the open spaces and natural lighting during the day are very welcome. Easy access to everything you need in Taos. Comfortable with beautiful views!
We enjoyed our stay very much. The property is a 2br townhouse, with a loft master bedroom and another downstairs, each with a full bath. We were two couples and everyone was comfortable. Nice open kitchen. There is an amazing view of the Sangre de Cristo mountains from the back yard. It's right off Paseo Del Pueblo, the main road through town, and close to the square but not so close that traffic was ever a problem. Recommended!

Spacious house, good location
The house was located in a good location, close to restaurants and grocery stores. The house had everything we needed for a weeklong stay and it was very clean. All we had to buy were our groceries. We were there with our 2 boys, 9 year old and 4 year old, and they liked having their little area in the loft. It was very convenient that it had 2 full bathrooms. The only negatives were that the bed and couch were not very comfortable and the downstairs shower is tiny.

Thanksgiving stay
What a nice home and owner! Very well maintained and equipped. Meredith was so accommodating with some changes we had and she was also fast in replying to message. Our stay was only 2 days, but we were able to get explore Taos pretty well. We went to the small casino, hot water spring, Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, and to Twirl Toy Store. Perfect little home to stay in when making a quick trip to Taos. Would totally recommend staying at the Casa De Blis!

Great View, Wonderful Location, Excellent Neighbors!
We stayed at Casa De Bliss for 7 days and couldn't have been happier. All of the amenities of home. The home was beautiful, warm, and had such wonderful décor. The neighbors were very friendly and sociable. The location of the home is ideal for those wanting to be in the middle of town without ANY of the traffic or bustle. Liz was extremely helpful and very sincere. Cant wait to stay again.
