"Just had a wonderful stay at Xianal Vacation Chateau (夏內爾渡假民宿). It was just a piece of paradise among the strawberry fields. It's just off the busy Taiwan Route No 3, but the noise level was not a concern due to good sound insulations. It's also a short drive to the town of Dahu for a nice meal. The hosts are very enthusiastic and helpful, and are just a pleasure to chat with. The room was tastefully decorated, with top-shelve amenities. "GH house is a small, friendly hotel close to the main attractions in Lukang — the beautiful Mazu temple and the old streets of the town. The rooms and clean and roomy and quiet. The manager was very friendly. Breakfast was included, but ordering it was a little complicated and the plate of nuts and fruit may not be everyone’s idea for breakfast. But overall a great place to stay when exploring this lovely old town. "

He drive us to a nearby restaurant to try the famous mushroom dinner, and kindly advised us not to order too many because the portion is very big. This turned out exactly to be the case. We are grateful for all their assistance and will certainly stay there again when we next go to Taichung."
