"Wow! Whalesback Cottage was the Nova Scotia oceanside escape that we were looking for. Our own private space – no traffic … no crowds … and the only sounds were the waves hitting the rocks. We spent countless pleasant hours watching the tides change the view … scanned the ocean with binoculars looking for the whales folks see occasionally. We were able to explore a great deal of the surrounding areas thanks to the central location, with short hops to nearby Lunenburg, Mahone Bay, Peggy's Cove, Chester, and of course Halifax and other great destinations. "Met by the very attentive owner who is very polite. Answered texts very quickly, and checked in to make sure everything was okay and to see if I needed anything. Place was clean, bed is very comfortable, and amenities are close by with a car. Easy access to major highway close by."
