"Alexander Motel is not a 5* hotel but everything works as advertised. Room, kitchen and bathroom are all clean. Bed is comfortable. For a small kitchen it is well equipped including an air fryer! It is easy to find and situated <100 yards away from the main road. There is an rsa restaurant beside the hotel for good value straightforward food. On the Main Street there are many cafes for breakfast options"

"The property was exactly what was listed. Appreciated being able to take our dogs. The only let down was how dirty it was, a dead mouse, bird feathers under our bed, blow fly sitting in a mug of fat on a window sill, dirty toasted sandwich press etc.. felt like the kitchen needed a really good clean. Also frustrating that you have to take your own rubbish home and the dump was closed the day we left. We did our best to leave it cleaner than we found it. Appreciated all the cleaning products...

"Suited our needs as a bed for the night. Room was right above the bar which was a bit noisy with music and pool tables considering there was only 3 or 4 people in the bar. Disappointed the restaurant wasn't open Sunday morning for breakfast, but found a suitable place up the road."

"The Mill House is such a wonderful place to stay - so clean, so welcoming, and every little detail has been thought about to make you comfortable and at home… a Nespresso coffee machine, deep bath with candles provided, fluffy robes, fresh flowers in every room, helpful basics in the fridge. "We came up with a large group of friends for a ski weekend. Unfortunately the weather didn’t allow us to ski, but we had so much fun doing other things around Raetihi - the dinosaur house, carrot adventure park and the tip shop were some of our favourite things to do. The property was very well appointed with plenty of bed and bathrooms. The dining area was very cosy with a dire, and we were able to cook plenty of meals with the well appointed kitchen. The bar was a great feature, and there...

"A beautiful setting with an amazing gracious host! We loved the setting, path along the river and attention to details. Danny is a wonderful host. I wish we could have stayed a third night. "
