2BR Cottage In Heart of Tampa's Trendy Urban Core

Two bedroom cottage-style guest house located in the center of one of Tampa's trendiest neighborhoods - Tampa Heights.
The cottage is located behind a main house on the property and includes full kitchen with cookware, utensils, plates/bowls/glasses, coffee maker, microwave, iron/board, smart T.V with Netflix, and WiFi.

The space
Our guest house is approximately 650 sq. ft. consisting of two bedrooms, one with a King size bed, and the second with a full size bed.

The location is literally minutes away from downtown Tampa, Raymond James stadium, Bush Gardens, Ybor City, Tampa's Channel District, and tons of trendy dining, bars, and shops. We're about 45 minutes drive to the Gulf beaches and 15 minutes from Tampa International airport.

There's a park directly across the street from the property with a playground, basketball courts, and softball fields.

Guest access
Guests enter via the double chain link fence on the North side of the main house. There's a pathway leading back to the private cottage.

Other things to note
-Our guest house is located in the back of the main house across the large back yard. Guests access the cottage via a side gate though to the back yard.
-Our strict no pets policy is due to a family member who stays with us frequently, who has severe and sensitive allergy to pet dander. Thanks for understanding.

Ghetto place
I will NEVER, NEVER, and recommend staying in this place, no pictures in fronts of this place, (front place is a ghetto with no parking)the front door is in the back of the owner house. Be careful when you're rented.

Great setup!
We stayed a couple of days in the cottage to see a game at Raymond James stadium. Great location. Went out to eat a few times around the armature works area which was minutes away. Uber to the game was quick and easy. Place was nice and private, own entrance, own parking spot, everything was clean and in order. Communication with the renter was great. Would recommend!

Infestation of bugs
We had to leave after just a few hours. I have several pictures that I need to submit for your review. I contacted the owner straight away and never received a call back. Please tell me how to file a claim with the pictures. Bugs were in the beds as well.

Dirty, hair and debris on bedding, overall bad smell, tripped coming in door..found a part of an inhaler in the one bedroom, debris in drawers, etc etc it goes on and on..waiting for our refund email from VRBO. Also, for more details the woman with the long review is ACCURATE and then some so don’t believe the response at all!

You get what you pay for because you’re going glamping.
First off, Prior to my stay, I emailed the owner (through vrbo) to see if we could add a night to our booking - never got a response. Upon arrival on our scheduled date , I thought I’d been scammed. No parking instructions, driveway to the only visible house was full of cars. Could not see VRBO property. Surrounding homes all have bars on their windows…so…theres that. Asked a couple who happened to be walking by with their dog if I was in the right place and was told to park on the grass in front of chain linked fence and to then go through the chain linked fence and around back. I was nervous to do this because there was signage regarding parking or a rear property, and it was very uninviting, to put it nicely. I rechecked my email and the only instructions were “go through chain linked fence and follow path around back”. I did NOT receive a code to get in to the “house” so I had to call the owner, and thankfully he answered. Gave me the wrong code, then the correct one. Theres about a 1 inch open gap under front entry door, so hopefully you don't mind bugs and small rodents living with you. Got inside, it was clean but nowhere near as nice looking as the pictures made it look. Within 10 minutes of being there my daughter was having trouble breathing and I was nauseaus and had a headache from an overhelming smell of smoke and what was I guess an attempt to cover it up? Immediately texted owner and said we weren't going to be able to stay. Owner assured me I was smelling an “Air fresheners”. He did offer to remove them and said it was non smoking place. Maybe I was wrong but, smoke has a very distinct smell and…whatever it was it was making us both sick. We weren't even there 15 min before we left, and owner refused even a partial refund. Then completely stopped responding. I am usually not the type to complain, or be high maintenance and the situation was obviously super inconvenient for us , but…that’s how smelly it was. We are a military family who was in Tampa to house hunt for the week. Ended up paying $200 a night for hotels (bc Taylor Swift was in town) in addition the the money we lost on the vrbo). Unfortunately, would not reccommend this place.

Unfortunately the pictures of this property are so misleading. We couldn't even stay the second night we booked due to the mold, dust and overpowering scent that seemed to be used to cover the odors in the property. We were very very disappointed.
