"Gabriela the owner was ever so cordial. We arrived after 20 hours of airline problems. Also a great deal of rain plus the shuttle from airport to the hotel did not show. We were exhausted. I loved it
"This place was great. Though Avellanas Beach was a short walk from the property, it felt secluded and remote. I could hear howler monkeys in the trees, which was cool. The house was gated and felt safe and had all the amenities we needed for our stay. I would gladly visit again."

From town to the Cala Luna, the standard cab fare is $10. The hotel has arranged for cabs into town for $5. There are quite a few dining choices in town but I didn't try them. Near to the hotel is El Sapo, an excellent pizza restaurant.

Due to our age (80's) and handicaps we had to downgrade our wonderful room #4 to room # 40 because of the many stairs , We expected a compensation, but according to reception staff , none was to be had. Hopefully, for a future trip we can negotiate
