It All Worked Out
Our original location was given to someone displaced by the hurricane.I found out the day we were traveling only because i called to ask about key. The owner was not sure how that happened. The owner did find us a place to stay which was on her property grounds in a second villa. She asked her assistant to send us information.The information was not provided so I was left wondering about Wi-Fi code and other logistics. This was rectified when the owner sent it, but again it would have been helpful to have pre-flight. The location was about 15-20 minutes further out than we preferred given location of our activities, but it was a very nice place. One issue came that the gate code. So when we got there late that evening around 11, we could not get into the property. This required us to scramble to find a hotel for the night. I asked for reimbursement but have not heard anything about that. It was just a $150 but it would have gone a long way for the principle of the inconvenience to have at least been told yes or no.Nonetheless, the actual location was very lovely. If that had been where I planned to stay originally and if I could have gotten in with the correct gate code that first night, my ratings would have been higher.
