"This is a uniquely situated, rustic property, run by lovely people. You will get a real experience of deep Morocco in the High Atlas if you visit. The area is incredibly beautiful. "We had a wonderful stay at Chez Momo II. The views from the hotel are breathtaking and there is able patio space to relax and take in the surroundings. Food at the hotel was phenomenal and very reasonably priced. Staff was very easy to work with and accommodating. I would highly recommend going for a guided hike to the “top of the world”. Ask for a guide by the name of Mohammed to show you around. Highly recommend this area of Morocco and this hotel specifically. "

Along the road, about 100 km south of Marrakech is Tin Mal the forgotten Mosque. The Mosque is the oldest in Morocco and is on of two open to non-Muslims. The other one is the big Mosque in Casablanca. Tin Mal Mosque was built in 1156 in memory of the founder of the Almohad Dynasty, Mohamed Ibn Tumart. The Mosque was put on UNESCOS world Heritage list in 1995.
