Also, apparently you can ask the front desk for an adapter for your computer charger if it has 3 prongs like in the states instead of the 2 that’s normal here. Love that."

"The location itself is great. The property is charming, and the owners are nice, at least when speaking to them in person. They even provided handmade breakfast on our first night. Additionally, the bathroom is AMAZING. However, that's where the good things stop. We were unfamiliar with the area and thought initially that the distance listed on the site wouldn't be a problem. The location is nice and quiet, sure. You're near lots of hot springs. But as for any actual activities? Not even close. My husband came in on a Navy ship and I flew out to meet him. The Navy has strict requirements on distance when in a foreign port. Given the amount of time it would take to get back to the ship, there was initially a concern as to whether this location was within his limits. Relaying this to the owners and asking for an exception to the cancellation policy was met with no understanding. The situation was beyond our control, yet their attitude was: "You reserved the room for X nights, we'll be keeping 100% of the fee whether you cancel or not." This was after telling them he could face serious trouble staying here. They just didn't care. That situation was cleared up, but it only took one day to realize the cost of transport was too much. To reach any spot we wanted to visit in Nagasaki took approx. 6000¥ per person, each way. We ended up changing hotels due to this, and they refused to refund even the later nights of the stay. Even hotels.com didn't assist. Very disappointing."
