"We loved the location and the indoor/outdoor areas compelled us to cook in instead of heading to one of the many incredible restaurants at Mapua which we'd been looking forward to. That tells you how good it felt. It has a great outdoor fire and covered seating area which was perfect at the end of a cycling day and heading into a cooler autumn evening. It worked well after we tidied it up although there is no lighting out there once it gets dark. It sleeps 9 with bunkbed options and there were 8 of us/4 couples. A bit of a squeeze and only one bathroom - all of which we knew beforehand and made work. "

We originally planned to stay for two nights and because of the.Bonhomie of the place we stayed a total of six days and five nights. We would have stayed all the way to the end of our trip. This was an unexpected find and you have a really open mind. I highly recommended to book this place. Just remember, it’s not the faint heart. "

"We stayed here for 2 nights in the 4 bedroom cottage/house. It was amazing ocean views from the outdoor table! There was only 2 of us, but that was only room left when we booked, honestly, I'd book it again just for us, because it was huge and so much room to feel like we were at home, and again- views were amazing! Great little back walk down the side to the ocean from that room as well. Staff was amazing and great location to be stationed at to explore Abel Tasman! HIGHLY recommend! Wish we would have had more time there! "
