"The house has a wonderful view over the Mahakipawa Arm. We spent three beautiful nights there. When we arrived, there were a few issues with cleanliness which I shared with the property manager. It's a lovely, albeit basic space. We were a party of three, and we cooked every night. Kitchen items were limited, just enough to accomodate basic meals for our small group. If I was in a larger party or staying for a longer period of time I would prefer a more equipped kitchen. The lighting in the space is also quite dim, but we got used to it. We walked down to the water immediately in front of the house. It's described as a beach, but it appeared to be more of an estuary type environment. I'm not sure about swimming there... however there are plenty of accessible swimming bays close by. We enjoyed our stay and were lucky enough to experience a magical thunder/lightning storm on our final night. It was truly spectacular... "

"Get away from it all with amazing views of the sounds but still be an easy drive to Vineyard Restaurants near Blenheim, a beautiful drive to Picton, and not even too far to Nelson for lunch. And if it rains cosy up to the fire and watch the weather pass over the ocean. Highly recommended!"

"It was a very good stay. Unfortunately, I could not meet the owner in person because he was out in town, but even though he left, everything was arranged and easy. It was nice to chill out after a day of work and watch some DVD, nostalgic haha"

"Peak View The gracious host met us at the bridge and lead us 2-miles uphill, curving back and forth through forests and fields, and finally to the mountain top and Peak View home. Wow! As you open the front door the considered design of the spaces and furnishings is apparent and the 180° views will steal your heart. You’ll see the Tasman Bay, the adjacent nature reserve, the Abel Tasman Park in the distance, and the 200 private wooded acres that surround the home. Outside, a sweeping wrap-around deck offers 360° views of sunrises, sunsets, and stars, not to mention clouds and birds at eye-level. Back inside, the house has a lovely living and dining room and even a snug for TV watching. The first-level has a discreet powder room, and an open kitchen with handsome host-made barstools plus beautiful host-made ceramic plates and cups. Heading down the gracious spiral staircase to the lower floor, built partially into the mountain which keeps it cool and cozy, you’ll find a large naturally lit hallway that leads to the two small bedrooms that are nicely appointed with large comfortable beds and nice views. The two compact en-suite bathrooms are modern and stylish, but could use more counter space. For outdoor relaxation, there is a terrific wood-fired hot tub and the adjacent wood-fired sauna has a glass wall to take in the uninterrupted views. This awesome mountain top retreat, fully living up to its name, will gift you with innumerable and unforgettable peak experiences."
