The property was in a convenient and walkable location, but there were several challenges we encountered during our stay that left me dissatisfied overall:
-there’s no reception desk or clear signage to find the property. Note that this is more of an Airbnb type space—this is fine, but this wasn’t made clear via the listing, and in retrospect, I think the price point set is too high for what was offered. The instructions sent over were written only in Chinese, which made it more difficult to navigate as an English speaker and reader
-there was no hot water during our stay. This was flagged to us in advance and they said we needed to give it at least 15 minutes, but we tried for at least 30 minutes with no success
-while the building is not directly located on a big street, there was still a lot of noise throughout the evening that made it a little difficult to sleep
-customer service in response to the lack of hot water has been challenging and subpar, as they only seem to respond to Chinese and can’t issue direct refunds via Expedia for some reason (bank info or app account was requested to send payment, but I don’t have any accounts that allow me to easily receive payment in Asia as a traveler. As of now, have not heard back from them or received any refund.
Overall, the space itself was fine, but service was lacking and you could get much better elsewhere with same cost.
