"Stayed a night here, a lovely old building converted to hotel, recalls a lot of memories as I was brought up in a similar apartment when I was young. The only problem is the walk in shower's drainage is not very good"

"NOT the same as the picture, and no window in this smallest room, and it was uncomfortable to sit on the double bed which caused my back to be sore to read. The worst is not the same hostel booked and need to change to a different hostel from block E 16th floor to block C 14th floor. It was a long trip just to check in. An extra additional charge of HK$187.00 for cleaning for 7 days."

"The room itself was very clean though small, and the staff was very nice. They provided clean towels and toothbrushes every day, with soap/shampoo available in the bathroom. You'll have to bring your own conditioner if you want it. The hot water might be difficult to work out if you don't have experience with turning the hot water off/on before/after your shower in similar facilities. "I've stayed at Ashoka Hostel before. If you are a budget traveler, I can't recommend this place enough. I needed a cheap place to stay while getting my visa updated last year. "This hotel was quite literally the worst place I have ever stayed. Every picture that they have is fake and highly edited. There is mold, rust, bed bugs, a terrible smell, and my room had a constant drip going from the ceiling. Men stand outside of the location harassing you daily as you come in and out. "VERY small room. We stayed 5 nights but were only in the room to sleep. Don’t let negative reviews put you off. We were on a high up floor so it was very quiet. Room was clean and WiFi good. "The hotel is very well designed. Our suite was comfortable, clean, with modern functional design, and had a great view of the sea. Each floor has laundry facilities. There were cafes and bars within walking distance, MRT and buses were right by the hotel. The only down side was the services. Our room was scheduled to be clean every 3 days, but they did not clean our room on the 6th day, only changed our towels. "This hotel is at a convenient location. Bus stop to / from the airport takes only a few minutes of walking, and same for the subway. High Speed Rail station is a only little bit further at 15 mins walk. There are tons of local eateries on the nearby streets, with a supermarket and a convenience store right across the hotel for other travel supply needs. The room is good size by HK standard. It's very clean and well maintained, if just slightly outdated on some furnishings. Bed was comfortable for my preference (your mileage might differ obviously), and the shower was hot and powerful. Overall, I have no complaint with my stay and would stay again next time I'm in town."
