"I enjoyed the free breakfast (rice ball -Onigiri). So much choices. Also, it is located right by the station 1 minutes walk, so convenient. Also there is a supermarket in 3 minutes walk. We could eat out, but we chose to buy Bentos from store to relax in the room. It’s really convenient hotel. I liked the washing machine also, since we stayed couple nights. "

"Staff was very helpful. Breakfast buffet was good and had a decent variety. Note that early check-in and late check-out are perks for Comfort Club Members, so they enforce the 3pm check-in time for everyone else. If that's important, you should sign up before you arrive. Located on the East side of the station. Most all of the stores and restaurants are located on the West side. Easy enough to go through the station even though Google Maps wants you walk all the way around. Likewise, there are sometimes taxis on the East side, there are always several on the West side. There are two restaurants on the first floor of the hotel. One looked like a large Izakaya chain. It was just okay. Didn't try the other one - Kitaya Kitchen."

"If you are looking for a remote lake get away in northern Otsu this is ideal. This location suits the out door adventure types who want to be away from Otsu city. The lake was an amazing place to swim. What also would be a Great Lake side party atmosphere and relaxation with a group of friends. Amazing cleanliness despite the overall facility being quite old. However rooms and common room air conditioned which was a life saver in the hight of a Japanese summer. The Hostel is not located near any shops and not close to the train station so be prepared to do some serious walking or better rent a bike whilst you are there."
