The property is located about a 10 min walk from the Tacoma convention center, making it an easy alternative to any of the hotels downtown. Note, the streets of Tacoma are quite steep heading towards the water.
The interior was very spacious and clean. The nearby safeway also makes cooking an easy alternative to eating out.
I would stay here again if I were to return to Tacoma.
Spacious one bedroom with large dining and living room, washer/dryer, and full kitchen! Our host Mike was kind and responsive. We stayed warm and cozy despite the winter weather outside!
Liked having a full kitchen and dining room table, able to cook some meals there. Street parking, but had no problem. Host fixed issue of overhead light when we told him about it. Liked being in downstairs unit.Occasionally heard upstairs guests, but usually quiet. Downtown Tacoma locatio
Super nice, clean unit. Responsive owner. Careful set up. Noise outside, not owners fault, but briefly irritating. Up and coming area with a great price point! Wouldn’t hesitate to book again!
I booked this for an interim employee that needed a place to stay while working. The host was kind, amazing, and truly easy to work with. The place received 5 stars from the interim employee. Thank you again for helping me in an emergent situation.
The neighborhood is kinda sketchy. Being in the lower level unit was sub subject to the noise of people coming and going and stomping up the stairs to the other unit. There is no sound dampening I could practically hear people’s conversations upstairs.
Purpose: rescheduled Covid wedding. Started great. Faulty locking system on unit & outside door that were disabled or ? for some reason in questionable neighborhood. Owner told me the cleaning lady would come fix. Called & attempted to give me instructions when I was driving away from property so I could catch ferry. Apparently MY attitude, inability to push a button that wouldn’t work & being non local prevented him from helping me. Had to leave unit unlocked. Left reception prior to dinner b/c I was worried my possessions were @ risk of being stolen. Saw some instructions on text left @ 5pm, all of which had been tried. Owner then shared he WAS local but wouldn’t come over b/c I hung up on him when he told me he wasn’t local & no one could lock up my unit. Went back to unit & it was now locked, collected my things & went home. Told him I wanted a one night refund. He launched again into MY attitude & how stupid I was for not being able to push a button, was disrespectful & was not responsible for locking up a unit & I had put the unit @ risk by leaving it unlocked, with another rant the next day. Got an insurance refund for both nights.
The property was as advertised. It was clean & very spacious. The neighborhood was ok. I wouldn’t wander the streets at night. Acres to the property was easy. The only downfall I would say is there was no air, but fans were provided. Will stay here again.
We enjoyed our stay in this clean, comfortable and well equipped place, and Mike was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again. Thank you, Mike!
Mike was SUPER easy to work with, he extended my stay and always was very prompt to respond to my silly questions. The unit is cool! Great big bay windows, period correct moldings, nice finishes throughout. I always appreciate a unit with a W/D and Mike has put some VERY nice appliances in this home. Great TV and cable system. Nice little fenced in back yard. There is even a wireless charger on the side table in livingstone. Location is next door yo a cute little park and right downtown in the historic hilltop area! We simply loved our time there!
This was a functional stay which suited my business travel needs. I prefer to have a kitchen to prepare my meals instead of a hotel and at the price point, this did very well. The property manager Mike Rios gets an "A" for effort in straightening out minor issues with the check-in. He responded very quickly and in-person.
Lovely property. Decorated superbly. Every thing you need if you turned up with out a suitcase. Great location, nice and quiet, good sleep, impeccably clean. The week went too fast as we were so comfortable and it really felt like home. Thank you Mike Rios for allowing to stay at your property.
