"We had a wonderful two week family holiday at this lovely property. The owners made it very special, really kind and welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us. Rosa bringing homemade bread and jam twice during our stay and also baking a delicious cake. The pool is wonderful and we had lots of fun in the games room playing pool and foosball. "Great location. If you want to walk, this is the place to do it. Beautiful and historic. Very clean but bed very uncomfortable. We also had little or no service during our 8 night stay. We had to find clean sheets and towels midway through our stay and change our on linens. If you don’t mind doing this, you’ll be okay. If you want service during your stay this place won’t make you happy. But again, locates phenomenal!"

Pousada Mosteiro de Guimarães - Monument Hotel

"First time at a Pousada, though have stayed in Paradores in Spain. This is a very comfortable sprawling historic hotel with absolutely top-notch and genuinely friendly service, especially at meal times. Excellent food and lots of space inside the room and in common areas. The view over the city is lovely. Visitors need to know that it’s a pretty quick trip to the town and surrounding areas, but by no means a short walk. That makes this Pousada feel like a welcome getaway."
