Situated within the Royal National Park, Bundeena is popular with locals and tourists alike for hiking, swimming, birdwatching, watersports and whale/dolphin watching. There are a few friendly cafes on the main street, and plenty of regular local events to experience.
Steps to Jibbon Beach, stroll to the village shops and nearby Hordens Beach. Walk the Jibbon Loop Track or venture further into the Royal National Park to explore this natural wonder.
Driving to Bundeena from Sydney takes just under an hour and takes you through the Royal National Park. Please note that visitors driving straight to Bundeena do not have to pay the park entry fee and can proceed through the far left lane at the park entrance. A ferry service operates between Cronulla and Bundeena roughly every hour and the journey takes 20 minutes.
Should the National Park entrance be closed for whatever reason, or simply if you prefer, you can drive to Cronulla and catch the ferry across to Bundeena - it is a short walk from the ferry wharf to the Bunkie Ethel & Ode’s. Timetables can be found on the Cronulla Ferries web page.
