"Property as excellent - very clean, spacious and good sized rear garden plus beautiful views of surrounding countryside. Only one negative - the bathroom shower - was very average and not easy to adjust for anyone under 5 feet two. Everything else was spot-on."

"This is a lovely cottage, full of character whilst still being comfortable and cosy. The location within the town is perfect. Completely quiet and peaceful but only two minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the main street with its shops, pubs and restaurants. The addition of a car parking space is SO useful....and very rare! Our hosts were delightful. Communicative and available without being in any way intrusive. Altogether, a very good find!"

"A beautiful home , where 9 members (age3-71 of our family enjoyed 6 nights . Plenty of room, everything you could need for self catering, lovely garden with hot tub in a fantastic setting. Communication with Gill was prompt and efficient. We visited Lulworth Cove and Weymouth, as well as Kingston Maurward Animal park( free), and had Sunday lunch at nearby Brewers Arms. Lots of nice walks too. I can certainly recommend this property ."

"This is one of a small number of cottages tucked away in a lovely little village with views overlooking open fields and it was wonderful. It was impeccably clean, nicely decorated, adorned with everything you’d need for a stay and I can not fault anything about it. "Purcombe Farmhouse is a gem. It provides comfortable and very well equipped accommodation, suitable for all ages - our family group were aged 66 down to 1yr and we all had a wonderful week there. Lovely gardens to explore and the hot tub was a definite plus later at night! This property is so peaceful and with stunning views, yet only a 10 minute drive from Bridport"

"Perfect for our visit. In the area for a wedding and it really filled the bill for my wife, myself, our son and daughter and our young granddaughter. Co-op store across the street. Coffee and bakery 50 feet away. Pub with meal service 500 feet up the lane. Comfortable, large, well equipped, and charming. Will stay again at the next opportunity. Great communication with the owner and easy access to the property. "

"What a wonderful home to stay in. This is just the most cozy, warm, cottage imaginable. It lacks for nothing. The house is on a lovely farm with great walking areas. Pete and Bev are superb hosts, and were happy to offer whatever we might need, while not being at all intrusive. "A cosy base with all we needed for a lovely stay in a lovely area. A nice welcome package of flowers, drinks and biscuits, along with a few extras - cooking oil and tea bags. Impressed with the kitchen area, which was well stocked with equipment to enable easy self catering. Denise was a very thoughtful host, willing to respond quickly to questions. One point to note - we didn't want one, but there isn't a hot tub!"

"The cottage has all the facilities you might need, and the Welcome Box of goodies was a nice touch. The heating came on morning and evening and warmed the cottage very well. We didn't need to use the log fire. The Spar shop, located a minute's walk away, was very useful. I can recommend this accommodation to anyone thinking about a holiday to short break in Dorset. "

"We came for a short break Thursday-Sunday. The van was spotless. The host thought about everything from providing fairy liquid, to loo rolls. Even a little sewing kit in the bathroom. We were very lucky with our weather even had a coffee on the veranda. The views over to chesil very pretty at night with the lights. Would highly recommend and use again. Thank you. "
