But the real treat came after a long day of hiking when I was able to return to a cozy pub to have a hot meal, a pint of ale and a nice read by a roaring fire. "Gorgeous from the moment we arrived. Our dogs were fussed, the staff were so friendly. We enjoyed our cooked breakfast so much aswell. A really lovely location … will definitely be back! "

Unfortunately we had to leave before breakfast (which doesn't start until 8:30am), but they were really amazing in trying to help us and they did make us a breakfast sandwich to take away which was much appreciated.The bed also was very comfortable!"

I give four stars only because the price was a little unreasonable for the time of year (mid-November) when many local attractions are closed.
