DISASTER! NIGHTMARE!
I don’t even know where to begin! Do not book this villa! Long story short, tried to confirm this reservation and make contact a few days before arrival. Phone number on confirmation out of service. EMailed, with no response. Arrived at the address on the confirmation directions to find it did not exist. Tried finding it, and through detective work miraculously found it in THE NEXT VILLAGE 7 km’s away by looking at the maps on other booking sites. Arrived (within the check in time), and no one there. Seemed deserted. Did not look like the pictures. Sent emails, and waited for 2 hours with no response and no one in sight, and finally gave up and found other last minute accomodation. 2 days later (the day we were due to check out), we received an email from the property manager telling us that Expedia booked the wrong villa and there was an error in the system. In the meantime, I tried calling Hotels.com (on my holiday) multiple times to rectify this and get my money back and was given zero support. I emailed, and called, and my calls were all dropped. No response to emails, no calls back. We wasted an entire day of holidays, and it was a very stressful and draining situation. We also incurred additional costs by using data. The lesson here is to never book anything that doesn’t have reviews. There is something very sketchy about the whole scenario. I have been a loyal Hotels.com customer, but will think twice about using them due to the dismal, nonexistent customer service.
