"This hotel is well positioned near a public pool....which would have been nice had we had time to take advantage of it. Unfortunately the hotel does not have a hot tub on property. We decided not to eat in the restaurant, but the hotel restaurant seemed to be very popular. I would recommend that you make a reservation for the restaurant in advance if you plan on eating there."

"If you are on the fence about booking this property or think that it is fake or too good to be true you are wrong. It is absolutely fantastic!!! One of the best places we’ve stayed in our travels. The views are epic, especially if you are there in the winter and see the northern lights from the windows or the hot tub. It is quiet, private, great location to Akrueyri, the diamond circle, Húsavík and so many other places in the north. We loved the heated floors, the hot tub, the steam room, the automatic window shades, the tub, just everything about the house is top notch. So, book it now :)"

"Perfect location close to the water and walkable to the main shopping area and restaurants within 5 minutes on the flat (which was ideal in the ice/snow as the hills looked slippery) The hotel has been beautifully decorated, the included breakfast was great and the basic double room was plenty big enough. Will be recommending to anyone I know if they travel to Akureyri. "

"The apartment had everything we wanted, crockery, cutlery, fridge, hobs, hairdryer etc. Bed was very comfy. Felt a bit dated in places and rainfall shower didn't work, so had to use regular shower head. Not a problem but a point of note. Overall, a good stay at K16 Apartments."

"This was a cute little hotel. More like a guest house over a restaurant. The room was lovely and the bathroom decent and clean. There is a shared kitchenette and small lounge area on each floor for guests. The guesthouse is above a cute restaurant with delicious food, and in the main area of Akureyri, so it was very walkable to other restaurants and shops. Parking was easy across the street from the hotel as well and staff were friendly and efficient. "
