Reel Retreat Suwannee is an old Florida getaway at the “Gateway To The Gulf”. This property is set up for the boater, fisherman, kayakers, and nature lovers. Includes paddle boards and a pellet smoker/gas grill on a wraparound deck overlooking the water. At night; light a fire at the waterside fire pit and cook s'mores under starlight. Cook your catch in a fully outfitted kitchen or visit local restaurants featuring fresh Gulf of Mexico seafood or Have them “Cook Your Catch”

The dock and seawall are 100’ long and there is plenty of boat trailer parking! The property sits on a deep water canal which leads to the Gulf of Mexico only a few minutes away. Quality time in a serene paradise away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

Filled with activities
The property was very clean and was right on the water. We weren’t able to get onto the water but boats, kayaks, and paddle boards were available. There is a nice fire pit where we made s’mores with stuff from the little store up the road. The property came with bikes and we were on them exploring the area until the sun went down. It was a great place and would definitely come back again.

Old Florida at its Best
The property and area were exactly what I was looking for. The property was super clean and had everything we needed. It was great relaxing out on the patio and dock, and by the fire pit at night. As an avid fisherman and boater, this property and area checked all of the boxes. The fishing was incredible and the boat accommodations left nothing to be desired. Coming from Tampa Bay, it was a breath of fresh air fishing in an area with relatively little fishing pressure. We hardly saw another boat while out on the water. The host, Jared, was great and very responsive. I would highly recommend staying here if you’re looking to relax and/or get into some great fishing.

So nice to have a protected, freshwater anchorage to deploy our boat from for scalloping. Marina with gas nearby. Hammock, wrap around porches, rocking chairs, big grill and Netflix on the TV. Kids loved the golf cart and standup paddlboards. Extended our stay!

Perfect place for a family getaway!
We had a great weekend at the Reel Retreat. The property was amazing and had so much to offer, like a really nice Pitboss grill, paddle boards, golf cart, hammock, games, bikes. Etc. you really don’t need anything else! We had a blast just hanging out with family and fishing all weekend. We can’t wait for the next visit since our trip!

Relaxing and Fun Retreat
We had the best stay at this property, we were sad to see our trip end. The home was very clean and spacious. The open kitchen was well stocked and perfect for cooking together. The amenities provided made for fun days exploring by riding bikes and cruising around in the golf cart. The outdoor living space on the river was beautiful and relaxing. The kids were able to play while my husband fished right off the dock. We can’t wait to book this property again for a longer stay.

Clean, updated and quiet Getaway
Reel Retreat was a real pleasure to stay at! We spent a few days here and the Owner was very accommodating. The extra lot beside the house was great for me to pull my truck and boat trailer into. And the boat lift was extremely convenient to use while going to and from fishing daily! If you're looking for a nice, clean quaint house. This is it! Best of all it was pet friendly!

Clean and comfortable home away from home
As a frequent traveler I'm never certain what I will find when I rent from VRBO, but on this trip I need not have worried. From the moment I arrived I could tell that the owner cares about the product he offers to guests. This property is clearly run by a professional landlord and from all the amenities to the cleanliness of the property; absolute perfection! I am a bit of a stickler and I am glad I stayed at the Reel Retreat because everything was provided and in order. The golf cart and paddle boards were welcome diversions and the fire pit was an added bonus as we sat under the stars drinking in the warmth of the cracking fire enjoying the cool conditions. I cooked a steak on the provided grill and we enjoyed it on the spacious deck overlooking the water. While this property is not the cheapest on VRBO; it is well worth it because the owner clearly puts money back into the property so that there are no problems during your stay. To my fellow travelers this property is worth your precious vacation time and dollar. Additionally the Suwannee area is restful and beautiful making it a great; although mostly unknown destination.

A Reel Nice Retreat!
My friends and I very much enjoyed our stay in Suwannee at Reel Retreat. We especially loved the patio overlooking the dock and canal. The outdoor seating and dining area is where we spent most of our time hanging out, cooking and eating. Very clean & nice room… easy check in, a lot of privacy. The market was just around the corner from the place and the boat ramps were very close too. Great place to stay for anyone interested in fishing or the great outdoors.

Newly renovated clean place at suwannee, checked all the boxes of our needs and more! Check in was easy, check out was quick and owner Jared was super reliable with communication. Could not have asked for a better place!

Was amazing!
Great place to stay. Great relaxing place with attention to detail! Plenty of extra towels for our large group, everything we needed for our stay! I would recommend there be some type of step warnings or markers on back step decking. It was harder for older family members to tell step changes during day and night and maybe a railing added. My father is ready to come back!!
