Cabin in the Village

This is a rustic cabin, original to the heart of Suttons bay, within one block of the marina, sand beach and public park/playground area .
The cabin is mid-century craftsman style with an open living room and kitchen floor plan - hardwood floors, knotty pine walls, and log beamed vaulted ceilings. It has 2 Bedrooms; one with a queen bed and the second has a full size bed. The kitchen is fully equipped. There is one full bath with tub shower combo. There is a flat screen TV in the living room with cable and WIFI included. Linens and paper products are also included. There are screens on several of the windows as well as window air conditioning. The outdoor deck includes a small charcoal grill, patio furniture and umbrella; a perfect place to relax with a glass of local wine from one of the many nearby wineries.
The Cabin in the Village is located on the alleyway next to the Village Water Wheel Park tennis and basketball courts-1/2 block from M-22.
It is a fun, casual place for families vacationing in Leelanau County. Walk out your door and you are just steps away from the beach, the park (mentioned above), shops, bars, restaurants, boutiques, ice cream, movie theatre, art galleries, antique stores and more….
There are many wineries also within a 10 miles radius. It is situated very close to the paved bike trail and just 4 miles away from Leelanau Club at Bahle Farms golf course and 15 miles away from Manitou Passage golf course in Cedar MI. It is also just a10 minute drive to Leelanau Casino

A relaxing two day away!
It was great and well worth our get away. The cabin was clean and had all the amenities that were needed. Shopping and eating downtown was in walking distance from the cabin. Walking the pier by the Marina was so relaxing. The owner was the best. Very supportive and most appreciated in an unexpected situation.

Nice cabin!
Great location, very clean. Nicely stocked. Only problem we encountered was the outlets and electric was a little dated (but has been mentioned in other reviews so we knew). Really enjoyed our visit!!

Great fun!
A lovely, simple, cute cabin tucked into the town of Suttons Bay. It had everything we needed and it was fun to be steps away from the beach, marina, and all of the cute shops and restaurants. Easy drive to the other nearby towns and beaches. Would recommend if you don’t need fancy. Just a nice, cozy place to stay.

Wonderful long weekend in wine country
We had a great time in Suttons Bay. It was a wonderful cabin nestled right in the heart of downtown. Walking distance to many shops, restaurants and the beach. The cabin was small and rustic but as detailed in the listing. Only 1 surprise- a gift card to a local art gallery! We used it and went home with 4-5 new art pieces for our home! That was very nice of the owner! We will definitely look to book this again on future visits to the area. It was me my wife and our little dog.

Convenient quaint cabin
Funky old place that evoked memories of little cottages we stayed at up north as kids. The place was clean and comfortable, and had all we needed for an enjoyable weekend. Right in the center of town and a short walk to shops and restaurants. Host was very responsive, calling back to a few questions we had shortly after arriving. The cabin is on a narrow paved alley. Parking spot was just big enough for the Edge, being clear of the alley and leaving enough room to walk onto the porch. If we'd had the F150 I may have had to park out on the street.

Terrible! Had to find a new place.
When we arrived after a difficult drive thru construction traffic my husband and I were exhausted. When we opened to door of this run down shack, squeezed between buildings in a back alley, we were horrified. It’s filthy, dilapidated and smells strongly of mold. The windows have no screens so we couldn’t even open the windows. The property manager did not answer our calls. Fortunately a very kind VRBO rep agreed to give us a full refund so we could get a hotel, but since we were in town for our son’s wedding that meant we had to stay much further away than we wanted to. Do not book this place. It is just a dumpy old building someone is using to grift money. The photos on the site are not at all accurate.

Little cabin in the perfect place
My husband and I had a wedding and invited my son and daughter in law to go with us for the weekend. This little cabin is exactly as pictured, no frills, very cozy, clean and well maintained. It is on the backside of main street on a quiet little alley/street. There is a nice park less then 10 steps and the beach is a very short walk across main street. We did day trips to Fishtown, Northport, Glen Arbor, TC, and Mission Point. So many beautiful wineries and breweries to check out, breathtaking views, and quaint shops. We also spent a lot of time on the little deck. It was the perfect family weekend, we will definitely be back. Thank you!!! ☀️💕

Suttons Bay Cottage
Overall this property was just what was expected. A very rustic cottage within a block from the shops and close to the beach. My only issue was the lack of towels for four people for four nights. We had one wash cloth. I had to use dish cloths to bath the children. Also, be sure to bring EVERYTHING needed for cooking (except salt and pepper). Pans were present, few glasses for drinks for several people. Beds were comfortable but couches, not so much.

Enjoyed a wonderful weekend in Suttons Bay…the cabin is tucked away of the Main Street and convenient to the variety of restaurants if not the wineries surrounding the area or great hiking trails. Comfy, comfy bed, kitchen stocked with necessary utensils and cozy space.
