Group gathering for a winter getaway that had beds for us all. Basement had lots of space for our outdoor gear. Kitchen had all necessary equipment for cooking big meals. We needed a few more comfortable chairs for dining room (plastic folding chairs were uncomfortable). We also didn’t realize we were heading into such snowmobile country. Highly recommend bringing earplugs for both all hours snowmobiles and for sounds and acoustics in the house.
We had a great stay at Sutherland’s Lake Lodge. We were a large group (6 adults and 6 children), and there was plenty of space. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to cook for a crowd, beds were comfortable, and we loved all of the outdoor areas (covered decks, hot tub, fire pit). There were a few little glitches, but Mike was very responsive and helpful which was great. The only downside was the road in, which is very rough if you don’t have the right vehicle/tires. Thankfully we all did, but be advised that winter tires (in winter obviously) are necessary to get to this location. Would visit again!
The property is tucked away in the bush, surrounded by towering trees and lush greenery. The air smelled of pine and relaxation. Amenities Galore: Our hosts had thought of everything. The hot tub, nestled among the trees, became our favorite spot. Picture this: soaking in warm bubbles and when we weren’t soaking we challenged each other to friendly games of cards and board games. The open-concept living area was a revelation. With its high ceilings and large windows, it felt like we were part of the landscape itself. The plush sofas invited us to sink in and share stories late into the night. And those two comfortable chairs in the dining space? Pure bliss. I secretly wished I could transport them back home—they were that perfect. The decor was whimsical and thoughtful. Rustic wooden accents blended seamlessly with playful touches—a trail map on the wall and cute art pieces. It was evident that the hosts had worked hard to create a space that felt both inviting and unique. The kitchen was stocked with every utensil and gadget imaginable. We whipped up hearty breakfasts. The scent of freshly brewed coffee wafted through the cabin each morning, coaxing us out of our cozy beds. Smooth Check-In and Check-Out: No stress here! The process was seamless. Our hosts provided clear instructions, and within minutes, we were settled in. this lakeside retreat is a hidden treasure—a place where time stands still, and memories are created. We’ll be dreaming of those comfortable chairs.

Baseball
Baseball team stayed at the house. Great layout, wish there was enough bedding to accomodate the 15 persons we had selected overall beautiful place.
The house was exactly what we were looking for, tucked away and private. Lots of space for 11 of us. The house was clean and had everything we needed for our stay.
Communicating with the host was easy and he went above and beyond to make sure our needs were meant. Would definitely recommend!
