7 BEDROOMS, 3 BATH BEACH HOME in a family-oriented community. House is located less than 250 yards from the beach at Site #1140 in Ocean Lakes.

Lifeguards, patrolling security/courtesy service, and a 10 MPH speed limit makes this a really safe vacation place where you can just 'let the kids go.' The home is fully equipped and professionally furnished to make your stay a pleasure in every way. Facilities on site include a heated indoor pool an outdoor Olympic size pool & three kiddie pools, three snack bars and an arcade with 80+ games, playgrounds, basketball courts, shuffleboard, miniature golf, a full-time recreation staff, and a mile of beach all within the community grounds.

7 bedrooms!
Its hard to find 7 bedroom houses, abd these bedrooms are spacious. Two with balcony access. Three bathrooms accommadated all of us very well.

Family Birthday Vacation
We enjoyed having a space large enough to accommodate our family and celebrate a birthday! The home was easy to find and Ocean Lakes has such great amenities. The home could use a really good deep clean and some fresh bedding. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Perfect Ocean Lakes Hideaway!
Absolutely loved hanging out underneath the house in the rain. Lots of beds, plenty of room for our large group to hang out, cook, and make memories.

Golf trip
Overall a nice and spacious place to stay. We had a group of 8 come down for our yearly golf trip and it suited us perfect. Our only complaint was that both trash cans were both full when we arrived so we had no where to place trash bags. Overall we had a great stay. Awesome time!

Ocean lakes serenity house
Dirty place. Floors, couch’s, rugs, counters filthy. Have not been cleaned. Carpet gray but looked black from dirt. Our smallest child broke out in a rash bc he is of crawling age. First thing we did was go out and buy cleaning supply to clean the floor at least. Rug had dog hair on it. Unable to reach host before and after stay. He did respond to my husband twice. No running ice maker, washer/dryer made a horrible noise the whole time and shook the place. We turned it off. Unsafe place -spindle on Balcony broken. Our child almost fell off.

Wonderful Mini Vacation
We enjoyed the the property, the home was everything we needed. The community has tons of activities to enjoy. The only draw back was parking. A little tight but overall amazing .

Dead bugs in every room. Ants crawling all in the kitchen coming around outlet. Nasty under the beds hadn’t been swept. Tub drain stopped up. Ac was out. Refrigerator didn’t work pictures are misleading. Very tight space. Location is bad. Has no road to get to house must drive down ally. If you have a suburban you can forget about parking here owner was out of town and the number he gave for any issues they could care less when I called them. I paid $4000 for this house and lost our food and burned up for 5 days. Very poor place to stay. If your going to ocean lakes look for another rental

This was my first time ever going to Ocean Lakes and it was absolutely wonderful! The owner was super nice and helped us when we had questions about the parking permit process. The rooms are a little small but that wasn't too much of a deal for us.

Close to beach, comfortable, fit our needs well, average cleanliness, furniture, etc. parking was very tight for a large SUV or truck, not bad for a van or car. Plenty hot water in the bathrooms, but no hot water in kitchen. Nice having a washing machine and dryer.

Beautiful house and large rooms. Wished it was located just a little closer to beach but okay. Bedrooms need an nightstands on both sides for ones who use cpap machines. All in all wonderful memories made in this beautiful house.

House was cleaned and fully stocked. Had a small hiccup with the internet for a few days so the kids wasn’t able to watch tv for maybe two days but other then that it was amazing.

Great campground and vacation. Owner was fantastic to communicate with. Lots to do at ocean lakes and family had a great time. Only recommendation is cleanliness. Would recommend discussing with cleaning service about level of their service. House needs a good deep clean. Plenty of room in house for our large group. Great rooms and tv/internet. Great location close to beach!

Christmas Stay
My family and I spent our Christmas vacation in this beautiful home but there were a few issues. The bed covers were not clean, we messaged the host a few times during the stay and did not get a response back, and we were only given one roll of toilet tissue for our entire family. We enjoyed the pool and walking beach access.

Rooms Galore
Plenty of space for our large group. A few hiccups with the Wi-Fi which Kevin tried to address but we were too busy enjoying the beach and the water park most of the time. Our group loved the campground the area. So much ti do and so little time. I rented 4 properties but this was the only one located on the campground. We will be back but next time we will rent all the properties on the campground itself. All in all a fabulous vacation.

Ocean Lakes Golf Trip
We had 8 guys on a golf trip to Myrtle Beach and the house fit what we needed. Everybody in the group had their own bed (including one on the pullout) and with three full baths things worked out well. The house was clean, the kitchen had most everything we needed except extra trash bags, and the washer/dryer worked well. Renting the linens was easy and everything was there and ready upon our arrival. The only point of note that isn’t clear on the Ocean Lakes website is Ubers/Lyfts are not easy. Because those drivers aren’t allowed in the neighborhood, the only option is to either walk to an entrance OR walk down to the beach and over to the Holiday Inn next door (which we found to be the easiest option by far).

7 day beach house
No code to enter when we arrived. Outside lights not working, plug in receptacle’s not working, living room ceiling leaks, upstairs air conditioning not working. Upstairs toilet very loose and not secured to floor. Compact space for 16 people. No place to sit, relax in bedrooms and small living room area for large groups. No outside area to get away from rain. Parking for 5 vehicles that we paid $84 each for-not family sized vehicles. Pictures and and descriptions seemed like it was right on the beach and it was close but not right on it. Paid extra for linen package for sheet sets for each bed and 1 set of towels for each person for the week and you launder them yourself.

Good vaca spot for family
We had 10 adults and 4 kids and the house worked well. Close to the beach, but no view other than your neighbors. AC works great. You'll want to rent a golf cart to get around. I rated cleanliness low because of several reasons. Bring your own bedding including pillows. Floors were disgusting, not sure when they were last mopped. Don't look above eye level if you don't want to see the build up of dust and grime on walls, showers, air vents. This place needs a really good deep cleaning inside and out and all of this could be corrected. Grill was nasty, we had to go buy cleaning supplies and scrub it to be able to use it. Also the place needs a new fridge, missing shelves and the water/ice didnt work. Oh one last thing, keep an eye out at night. The roaches get in through the front door because the door doesn't seal shut tight.

Unhelpful Owner, Nice Place
The issues started when it was time to check-in. It appears the owner travels a lot and is unavailable to adequately help with issues. Before arriving, I had to call the campsite and beg them to help me with the car pass purchase because the owner was out of the country. While staying we had a safety concern with the deck railing (young children were present) and his response was he couldn’t do anything about it because he was out of town. He did eventually send someone after we pressed. Upon leaving I contacted the owner with a few smaller concerns/suggestions and I never heard back from him. The biggest issue being the internet is not sufficient. Also, the main TV needs to be replaced and this mixed with the slow internet makes the tv time out frequently. All of the remotes are missing back covers and batteries. We aren’t huge tv/internet people so we made it work. I think it would be unbearable for someone who requires internet access. The house itself and community is nice.

Nicely appointed home with short walk to beach
7 good sized bedrooms for size of the home with 3 full bathrooms. Nice communal open plan living room/ dining area, and deck. Unfortunately there were several housekeeping issues that by no means ruined our stay but do need mentioning as the owner is not local and as landlords ourselves, we would want I know if our properties were deficient. 1. 2 bedrooms upstairs have little or no closet space; one is very tiny; the hangers can only fit in diagonally, and another bedroom’s closet is blocked by a dresser. 2. The oven thermostat is not working properly. We burned multiple items despite using parchment paper, cooking for less time and at decreased temperatures. Stove top does work great and grill on the deck a great plus! 3. More living room seating would be much appreciated; for a house accommodating up to 12 persons, we had only a couch and a loveseat; seating for 5 persons. 4. There were several nails coming up through the exterior stair treads . 5. The next 4 items can be lumped together under cleanliness. Refrigerator light out; food left in freezer; not cleaned out. Dirty and stained scatter rugs in kitchen. 3 bathrooms, 3 moldy shower liners. Dust bunnies under beds. Found almonds and a few small toys under living room furniture from previous renter. Also found small white pill on downstairs bedroom floor where my 1 yr old grandson stayed. Per pill ID it was a blood pressure med that if ingested by a toddler could pose life threatening situation.
