Very Good

Good place to stop by on the great ocean road. Lovely farm and views of the sea from the property. The shared kitchen was well equipped and dining room/lounge were large enough to accommodate guests. Room did get cold but a heater was provided and the beds were very comfy. Shared bathrooms were clean.
Seacroft was absolutely lovely! I stayed in the treehouse and enjoyed a magical view of the oceanside and farm animals. It was quiet and easily accessible. Can't recommend enough!
We stayed in the studio and it was fantastic, the bed was divine, we had our own private deck with chairs table and banana lounges. The only down side is the kitchenette really had no accessories for cooking. Also the fridge was not cold at all so our drinks didn’t get cold. Otherwise a wonderful stay, loved the automatic ground coffee machine

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Very basic accommodation but in an outstanding location with great views. Amenities and room are bare basics but did the job.
Small bedrooms with shared bathrooms and kitchen facilities.
Comfy beds and a few things to do. The grounds were interesting and nice to explore.
Good location
Great for a quick getaway. Staff are helpful and the rooms are clean and very simple. Amenities are separate from the rooms.
Could use a mirror in the bedroom.
This was once a monastery so the bedrooms are small, but the communal areas are spacious. Sea views from the sunroom. A well stocked kitchen. A very peaceful location. Shared bathrooms which are multigender. No TV. A good place for groups. Child friendly. Good communication.

Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
My room had two single beds; a painted wooden chair; a very small electric heater; a single overhead light bulb and two small plastic bedside lamps and nothing else.
On my journey from Adelaide I had stayed in two motels prior to Seacroft which were about half the price of Seacroft.
They both had an in room toilet and shower; refrigerator, electric kettle, toaster, microwave and basic crockery.
Seacroft with its shared bathroom/toilet facilities and communal kitchen would best suit a student group or a religious faith retreat. In my opinion it is not suitable for national and international travellers.

Disliked: Staff & service
The view from my room was wonderfull, and the property is located conveniently between Lorne and Apollo Bay. Unfortunately, that is where the good things end.
The treehouse room that I stayed in was a windowless box barely large enough to fit a double bed - which wasn’t the end of the world considering the large communal areas. But the room was stiflingly hot with the door closed, and leaving the door open resulted in hundreds of mosquitoes filling the room.
I wound up leaving the room at midnight to sleep on the couch in the common room.
I would definitely not recommend spending $200 if there are any other available rooms.

Liked: Cleanliness
We knew when booking the property it was shared amenities. Our room was beside the toilet/shower but you could hear everything going on inside the washroom laying in bed. It was like a 4 hour non-stop highway outside our door at night with people getting ready for bed. The main door to the toilet/shower area is heavy so slams each time it closes. Not a good location for lighter sleepers. Would benefit from a fan in the room or something to help drown some of the exterior noises. Room was clean and location was convenient.

Disliked: Staff & service
The property location was a stunning setting. However, lack of signage showing where you were allowed to park, where the kitchen was and the names of the areas in the peoperty were very lacking. A bath mat would have been nice or even a mop so we could at least clean up after we had a shower.
This is more of a hostel setting and whilst it is not the owners fault, the night we stayed, guests arrived very late and proceeded to be very noisy not respecting other guests sleeping.
Being an old building, the walls are very thin and the noise travels even when conversing inside your room.
Apart from all this, the peoperty is in a stunning location with great views, however it lacks personal communication and requires a bit of care.
Cons:
1. The room is so small that one side of the bed touches the wall. There is no fan/AC in the room which makes it hot during the day.
2. The shared bathroom area wasn't cleaned in the morning. It had dead insects all over the floor.
3. Disturbance from other guests at night - Not the owner's fault but the guests have to be mindful of the fact that it is a shared accommodation.
4. Overpriced for a shared accommodation considering the comfort factor was missing.
Pros:
1. The ocean view from the room is excellent.
2. The shared kitchen and the activity/lounge area is well equipped.
For the price paid, I expect more than a Hostel experience of shared facilities. Kitchen area is great. Toilet/shower block is a refrigerated portable and water can not be used by two people at once. I could not get hot water to shower while someone else was showering.
The room was dirty with cobwebs around windows, doors and the light on the ceiling. It also wasn’t big enough to swing a cat in!
Pre-information for access to room and facilities was good, but no mention about parking which made knowing where to park confusing when the stone area was completely full. You had to find a map to see what areas could be parked in, which included a grass area that had no signage.
I would happily stay here if it was a cheap hostel comparative price (no more than $100), but not for anything more than that!
I'm unsure what to say about this experience other than you get the distinct impression these accommodation providers are taking you for a ride.
We stayed in the "tree house" which is both structurally unsound it sways! and is so small you have to depart the room over the end of the bed.
Severe claustrophobics beware.
The "hospitality" such that it is extends to an otherwise absent owner who suggested (via text message) that the reason he doesn't include wifi is that there are as yet 'no cables over the mountains.'
It never occurred to him that with satellite communications he could offer a better service for very little. It would go part-way towards making up for every other shortfall....of which there are too many to list here.
The view is excellent. There's no taking that away from the location. But this is a natural occurrence. One need thank the universe or the almighty for this.
In short: stay clear of this mob.
