Experience a piece of history when you book your next vacation at this cute and cozy mountain cottage. Built in the 1930s, this 3-bedroom home was once an old moonshiner’s cabin, with an operating still located right in the basement! At 3,000 feet elevation, you’ll be surrounded by jaw-dropping views of the lush landscape punctuated by mountainous peaks. Just 80 miles north of Atlanta, “The Valley Above the Clouds” is known for its scenic views and abundant outdoor activities. A popular location for bikers travelling among and around the Blue Ridge Mountains, you’ll be within a short drive or ride to national forests, the Toccoa River, and Lake Winfield Scott. The home is also less than 5 minutes from the popular Two Wheels of Suches Restaurant and Lodge, where riders from all over meet up to connect with old friends and make new ones. Be sure to set aside some time to check out one of the local wineries for a stroll around picturesque vineyards and a homegrown wine and food experience you won’t forget.
Inside the home, floor to ceiling wood panels bring the outdoors in, creating an atmosphere of warmth and relaxation. The living room includes comfortable sofa and armchair seating and a smart TV for streaming all of your favorite entertainment. The open floor plan creates a seamless transition between the living and dining areas, maximizing the space for connection and entertainment. When you’re ready to enjoy sit down meals as a family, the 6-person dining table is waiting for you. From here, make your way into the kitchen, fully stocked with all major appliances, drip and Keurig coffee makers, and a suite of cookware and dining ware for fulfilling all your culinary goals.
