"Has a very homely feel. I am biased though as we were upgraded to a suite which was fabulous. Breakfast was included which was also excellent and to top it off there was tomato juice!!! This is a rarity in most hotels but much appreciated by us. All in all, a lovely stay and hopefully next time it will be warm enough to use the pool."

"I had a work event to go to and stayed for the night, during our stay the staff were professional, friendly and helpful, we were upgraded and had complimentary buffet breakfast for two included. Everything we needed was in our clean spacious room. The rooms were quiet even though there is a busy bar located in the lobby along with a restaurant. "The Criterion has seen better days. They are renovating it, but not quickly. The rooms are plain and have some wear and tear to them. However, it is clean, there is a refrigerator, the water was hot and the pressure was good, it is on a quiet street, the staff are there 24 hrs a day (although there is no housekeeping on the weekends), and it is convenient to everything.
