It was advertised to be in San Teodoro but it was 4km away from San Teodoro, in Straulas. We didn’t have a car, we were stranded, it was very difficult and very expensive to get a taxi, the buses were limited which meant we could only access San Teodoro for a short period of time, the children were miserably...

"Fantastic host and a lovely property on a stunning island. Our host Eveline was lovely and on the first night gave us lots of information about the island, she also helped to organise boat hire for us. Fruit and vegetables that they were growing were freely available and the many dogs and other animals on site provided other produce and great entertainment. Car hire is a must here as the property is a fair way from any amenities. We were there in August and the villa was cooler than outside but...

"We stayed at Porto Istana for 10 days and it was an outstanding experience. The home is well appointed with everything you will need for your stay. The pool area, BBQ and outside living space is absolutely perfect…not to mention the VIEWS! It is possible to walk to the beach - a bit of a distance but we did it many days. "We spent 8 days in the house and really enjoyed the time. The area is quiet and super close to the beach. We also really enjoyed the garden and the terrace! "Stefania was amazing and incredibly attentive, the house was lovely though not quite what we expected from the photographs and description, the bedrooms are lovely and it's been very nicely decorated however the kitchen area doesn't get much light, you need a light on all the times. In the description it mentioned there were 2 bathrooms, however, the second bathroom was a small outside shower at the bottom of the garden. Lovely beaches nearby definitely recommend if you want a chilled beach...
