We loved our stay. It was the perfect spot for two people.
Very lovely old house, with great location. It's a short walk to many restaurants, coffee houses, and shops. Most of the places we wanted to go were within a half hour drive. It's very comfortably decorated and cozy.
This property was really wonderful to stay in. Super clean, well furnished in the kitchen, and very comfortable. Would highly recommend if you are staying in Sturgeon Bay!
Great property, great location. Just a few blocks from shopping and food. Check in was extremely simple and everything was just as advertised. Would definitely stay here again.
Carrie and Josh are amazing hosts! Great communication before and throughout the stay, very clean property, and her Doorcounty visitors guide was amazing! Would recommend her properties to anyone.
Beautiful old time home, was clean, quite and very comfortable. We enjoyed our 38th anniversary and loved the stay and community. We'll be back! Thank you!
The location of the property was so easy to get to. Cute little apartment. Clean and comfortable. The bed and couch were especially comfortable. Slept great! Also loved the pre check in call from the owners who wanted to ensure we would enjoy our stay and answer any questions we may have.
This is a beautiful home that has been divided into 4 units. Everything was very clean and newly redone and furnished. There is a beautiful wrap around porch. I hope they add some chairs on the porch because I would have loved to sit there.
Happy with our recent stay in Sturgeon Bay. Carrie sent us a guide of Door County that she made as a local and it had so many wonderful suggestions! The property was in a great location and walking distance to some great food. Communication was great, apartment was tidy, cute, and had everything we needed. Thanks for everything!!
For the price point this is a great rental. Neighborhood leaves something to be desired, reno was taking place in the house next door but we realize that is out of hosts control. Bed was so comfortable. Bathroom a little small. Sturgeon bay is a wonderful place to stay to explore the county. Communication with host was excellent. Thank you!
This is a beautiful place that offers both comfort and quiet spaces. It’s close in walking distance to the town and a great coffee house. Thank you Caroline for the organized book of places to see and go to around town and the other places up north!
Caroline and Josh the owners are timely, dependable, professional and friendly. Wonderful hospitality of even checking in with me the day after I arrived. I would highly recommend renting from them! In fact, I’m coming back in October to stay again.

Construction on Unit
The property was as listed. It was clean, check-in process was smooth. Our issue was with the exterior construction going on. At check in we were informed they were working on the roof, etc. For the first two days they were working on the roof while we were in the unit. We felt like we were staying on a construction site. We were not told when we booked there would be construction. We likely would have looked for a different place to stay. We are very unlikely to book a VRBO with this person in the future.
My husband and I found this apartment to be EVERYTHING we look for in a rental...impeccably CLEAN, comfortable, beautifully decorated and stocked with everything we need at a price we can afford. The house is very old yet has been recently updated with new floors and modern touches. Sometimes old places feel kinda dirty to me but not this place because the new touches make it feel so nice and clean and "new". Kitchen and bathroom are all new!
We slept comfortably in the queen sized bed with black out curtains enjoyed the natural light from all of the second story windows throughout the place.
Both a Keurig and drip coffee maker are provided! Coffeemaker wasnt in pics so that was a pleasant surprise.
The property is in a quiet neighborhood in town, and a couple coffee shops and a small free art gallery (inside the library building) are all short walks.
The owner created a great visitor guide with short descriptions and a pic of her favorite places/things to do, complete with QR codes to quickly access websites/menus. We liked this touch and took several of her suggestions.
Owner and property manager were quick to reply and also reached out to us to make sure we were doing well.
We are grateful to have stayed here, and we hope to have the privilege of coming again next year.
