"It may not be a 5 star hotel but I would give Tennyson 5 stars for the way guests needs are catered for. Entry was simple and effective thru key safe. the room was clean comfortable and warm - I returned from a meal at the local Wetherspoons (brilliantly converted cinema covered in lights!) to find the heating had come on and the room was warm as toast. "Great that you check yourself in so there are no time restrictions. Clean. Quiet. Lots of lightning and sockets. Breakfast items are in your room ready for the morning. The kitchen is very nice, big and useful. Nice touches like shower caps. I definitely recommend. "

"Really enjoyed our stay thank you. Pleasant welcome from the staff and good facilities. Lovely clean guest house and room. In a great location for the town too. Minor downside is lack of parking (but there are side streets and car parks nearby - it just took us a little while to find one late on a Friday evening). "The whole place needs a refurb, it's very dated. There was an awful smell through the corridor. Cobwebs all over the apartment, damp in the bathroom. Flooring lifting in places. Loud music playing till the early hours, unsure of this was from downstairs or the pub across the road. One of the beds was very precarious, wheels may have been broken. "
