Lovely and well equipped
Great place to stay, large living area and bedrooms, and very well equipped kitchen. Gabriella was amazing! A little quiet in stresa but that can’t be helped, it was winter. Nice relaxing stay to end our hectic holiday in Europe.

Perfect!
Perfect house. Comfortable and clean. The walk to town was beautiful and rustic. We were glad we brought a backpack carrier for our 4 year old though as it was quite a steep walk. The neighbors were lovely and the neighborhood was calm and quiet. The hosts were gracious and helpful. Overall a fantastic stay for our family of 4.

Spectacular View of Lago Maggiore
The view from this property is just spectacular. It has a comfortable and large balcony/deck. The bright living room is surrounded by windows which provides for breath taking views. The property itself is in a great neighbourhood, well placed for access to Stresa and surrounding area. There is a nice trail if you want to walk into town and it takes about 20 minutes.

This home was perfect for us. The pictures are accurate- the view is spectacular! The space was lovely and up to date, and the neighborhood is convenient and quiet. Gabriella was an attentive and responsive host, who went out of her way to help us with the local bureaucracy in the paperwork for our dog’s return to the US.

Perfect Stresa
Gabriella is a wonderful host. She greeted us with a smile and wine and has been totally responsive to all our needs. The booking is exactly as shown in the pictures, if not better. Always breathtaking. It’s a short hike to town, and a short ride to marvelous hiking and swimming opportunities. We are taking advantage of the music - the Stresa festival and other events around. We may never leave!

Breathtaking View
We loved this house. Not only is the view of the lake from the balcony breathtaking but there are large picture windows on three sides of the living room, as well as in the dining room. Our host was gracious and helpful. We will definitely stay there again.

Great host, Great property, Great location
The property is exceptional and the owner is very hospitable. In addition to a nice bottle of red wine and some local speciality bicuits, Gabriella was also very helpful with suggestions of where to shop and sights to see. The location is unbeatable and the property overlooks Lake Maggiore and in the distance one can see the snow capped Swiss Alps. It is a very short drive to the centre of Stresa and the area is very peaceful. The rooms are well proportioned and everything was in order. We look forward to visiting again.

View worthy of a king/queen
Wow! Gabriella’s terrace has an awesome view of Lage Maggiore - almost 180 degrees! And views from every room. Nicely appointed apartment (fully outfitted galley kitchen, comfortable shared spaces, tables to sit both inside/outside - depending on the weather - to enjoy a drink or a meal w your view), easy parking. Gabriella was very helpful with things to do in/near Stresa. Besides the visits to Palacio Borromeo and the town, she printed out information for a local yearly food festival on Isola Pescheria that was fabulous! Thank you!! We also visited Orta San Giulio and had a tranquil afternoon. She also directed us to a wooded footpath from the rental to town so that we didn’t have to drive. Thanks so much for being an awesome host, Gabriella!!

Excellent!
Gabriella was too perfect! We were quite lost (new gps app) and she talked us through it with ease and grace. Cookies and wine were waiting for us which was perfect after a 9 he drive. Fully, fully equipped kitchen. The views were stunning, the place was larger than we thought. The hills are steep, roads narrow. We ended up using a taxi to (I have mobility issues) town which was perfect and “cheap.” We loved every minute of our stay.

Terrific location, private, beautiful views and easy access to Stressa. Gabriella a kind and generous hostess. She presented a lovely chocolate present for our anniversary. Home well equipped and it was ideal for our cooking. Lovely hiking nearby and easy to get to village center. A lovely stay!

This property has a commanding view of the lake. The property is located in a quiet residential neighborhood high on a hill. It is a 15 to 20 minute walk into town on an old Trail. If you are fit and active it is a great walk into town. Every morning we would walk into town and have a coffee, relax and than walk back for lunch, There are 2 ways to reach town by car. The upper road thru town or the lake road. The lake road has many turns but less traffic. The house is well equipped. A nice quiet place to relax on the lake.

The perfect place to stay on the beautiful lake
This is perfect place to stay on the beautiful lake!!! My husband and I cannot say enough good things about this GORGEOUS apartment. Gabriela greeted us with a warm smile and she was an incredible hostess. We did not need one thing due to her hospitality. The views of the lake are breathtaking and made our trip to Lake Maggiore even more magical. We would recommend this apartment for any couples looking for a romantic getaway

Excellent accommodation
A very well equipped villa with amazing views. Everywhere was very clean, with plenty of room, inside and outside. Lovely location with amazing views of the lake and mountains. A short walk down to the town through the woods with all the trees providing plenty of shade, especially in the heat of the day!

The only negative comment I can make is the location. On one hand the views are stunning but it is not very convenient to go back and forth to town. The pathway is quite rugged in parts so you have to be very careful, and it is quite a steep hill so a taxi was required to take us back up the hill. So it all depends on the individual. We loved the property but location was a bit problematic. for us.

Lovely house with panoramic views
We can only confirm all the positive reviews of this property: the panoramic views are stunning, the house is very well equipped and set in mature gardens with rhododendrons and azaleas (which were in blossom during our stay), and the owner Gabriella is very welcoming. We particularly appreciated the lounge with large windows/glass fronts to three sides and the various seating areas inside the house and on the terraces, which we used at different times of the day. We will definitely stay here again!

The Owner Gabriella who lives below was lovely and very accommodating with perfect English . We were there for New Year abd Christmas and the terrace and views were divine but in Spring Sumner they must be spectacular.Stresa is a pretty town 15 mins walk away and awash with little Trattoria’s and Restaurants Highly recommend

Very nice location with good privacy. Well furnished for those who desire to prepare meals. Plenty of inside and outside seating and tables. Nice sized and equipped clean bathroom. Newer clothes washer is available for use, free. Walking to town is about 20 minutes. Our taxi rides back to location ran from 11 euro to 15 euro depending on where we were. Gabriella was wonderful and helpful getting us settled in. She keeps the property well cared for. The floor is an entirely separate area and you have complete privacy. We had terrific weather and sitting on the terrace with food or wine was most relaxing. Tours and excursions are numerous, grocery store is also nearby. Overall spend at least one week, preferably two, you will find relaxing on the terrace may be your favorite part of your trip. This was our second trip to Stresa, last year we came with a tour group. We decided to come back on our own this year and are delighted to have found this accommodation. Highly recommended

Brilliant apartment - would highly recommend
We can't recommend this apartment highly enough. It was like staying in somebody's home rather than a sparsely furnished holiday apartment. As all the other reviews say, the views really are amazing and the photos don't really do them justice. Gabriella was so welcoming and friendly and told us everything we needed to know (including about the overly-complicated Italian recycling collections). Stresa made a great base for visits and is a lovely little town with many nice restaurants and a handy mini-supermarket. It was around a 20 minute walk to town downhill but walking back up again in the 30 degree heat was challenging! We had some lovely days out: Lake Orta (and the mini-golf there), Cannobio, the 1.2km Alpy Run (summer luge) at the top of Mottarone and the train/ferry ride loop to Locarno in Switzerland (again another mini golf course). We were there with our 2 teenage boys and the highlights for them were the fantastic pizzas, the ice-cream from the gelato shop on the square in Stresa (very popular) and the luge and mini-golf! Nice to be so near Milan Malpensa airport (under an hour). Thank you Gabriella. It was such a lovely, relaxing holiday and the apartment was one of the best we've stayed in.

A beautiful view to the lake
We really enjoyed our visit to Lago Maggiore and Stresa very much. The villa exceeded our expectations. It is very nicely decorated and everything is new and in good condition. The view from the living room and from the terrace is stunning. When you are on the balcony, you can't see most of the neighbors, only the lake and the nature. There is a short drive to Stresa or you can take a walk, which takes about 20 minutes. Stresa has a lot of restaurants to choose from. Our host Gabriella is fantastic and she was really helpful.

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday staying in this delightful property. We have been renting holiday homes for over 10 years twice a year and this is probably one of the best. The views are more than you could expect, even better than the pictures, the location is great. The apartment has everything you could need and is of a very high standard. The host Gabrielle was very helpful and was a pleasure to meet. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone.

Wonderful house with fabulous views.
We thorough enjoyed our stay at this lovely house. The views whether inside or outside are amazing. Enjoy having breakfast on the wrap round large balcony watching the ferry boats go back and forth. Come back in the evening to enjoy a glass of wine while watching the lights come on across the lake. The kitchen is very well stocked with everything you would need to cook and dine with. We enjoyed buying food at the local markets and coming back to cook in Gabriella's stylish red kitchen. There is a nice walk into Stresa from the back gate. This is part of a longer walk into the neighboring village of Beligrate which is well worth doing if you get the chance. Other trips to consider are the scenic train ride to Locarno and the ferry ride back to Stresa . A great days sightseeing at a very reasonable cost. Do not miss the gardens at Taranto and the Borromeo Islands. Gabriella is a wonderful host and we would have no hesitation in recommending this property .

Eine Terrasse vom Feinsten
Sehr gelungen. Obwohl der Anfahrtsweg zum Haus sehr schwierig war, haben wir uns im Haus sehr wohl gefühlt.Der einzige Wermutstropfen war, dass das Wetter nicht mitgespielt hat.
