The lodge was perfectly situated on the banks of the river so we could relax while watching the rowing boats passing.
The nearby on site bar with restaurants is nice plus you can catch a boat from there that takes you into stratford.
For £3 each the boat ride alone is worth the money.
Lovely property situated in a beautiful location on the river front. Lodge was very comfortable and well equipped and very much a home from home. Walked into Stratford most days where you will find lovely restaurants, cafes and shops.
Blissful week spent in this fabulous lodge, overlooking the river highly recommend
Fabulous view of the river, great glass veranda watching the boats, paddle boarders and the swans with their signets.
every day we had the privilege of the swans coming to the lodge with their signets and we fed them corn, they were adorable, highly recommend the river retreat lodge
Four ladies of a certain age spent 3 nights in River Retreat Lodge and had a great time. Well equipped, great position looking out on the river. Caught the river taxi right into the centre of town, a picturesque ride, the drivers were great, full of local information and so helpful. The lodge was a perfect base to come back to, spacious and clean. Would recommend.
Met with friends for a short break to catchup after lockdown. Great spacious Lodge overlooking the river, very well appointed with everything you need. Comfortable lounge and dining area. Good sized bedrooms. Very near Stratford itself either by car or walking.
Would recommend - aim to return.
The Lodge itself was excellent and in a peaceful location just one or two issues with crumbs under the microwave and crumbs under the dining table my daughter suffers with ocd so normally it wouldn't be a problem, otherwise everything was lovely
Enjoyed our stay. Lodge was as expected. Well equipped, clean, comfortable and homely. Lovely views of the river etc. The only recommendation we would make is to give the exterior a bit of TLC - lots of cobwebs.

A wonderful river retreat so close to Stratford & Warwick!
Our stay was lovely in this very cosy home! It was exactly as described, inclusive of a wonderfully warm welcome by the resident swans, Canadian geese and ducks who are all very social and readily enjoyed the swan and duck food we had picked up from the local garden store! Stella was a fantastic host, who reached out to me both on email and mobile before our stay and was so quick to respond to any questions we had. The home
Is right on the river and the clubhouse has many restaurants and activities for kids including a mini golf, small playground and many other activities. Water taxis are available straight into Stratford town center for only £2/person, and it’s only a 5-10 minute walk from there to any of the local attractions including Shakespeare museums and the butterfly gardens. We would highly recommend this property!
Absolutely beautiful lodge overlooking the river, park/ location also very well kept. All positive feedback would definitely recommend. Fantastic communication with home owner on booking. The lodge is extremely well stocked with all amenities and extras which were all included in the price. The home was clean and really well presented, the bed was so comfortable. It was lovely to sit on the decking with the resident swans and cygnets enjoying the view. Fantastic location close to Stratford town, we really enjoyed using the river taxi from the park (pick up/ drop off just near to site clubhouse). Definitely 10+/10 well worth a stay!
Very nice property in front of river Avon very clean well kept all that you need. Twin bed room smaller than expected not much room to store suitcases and living area also, there should of been 5 in are party but two members were unable to come so with three plenty of room for us. Stella was a very good host provided plenty of info and quick to respond to messages would recommend this lodge.
The lodge was like home from home. Very comfortable and the location was excellent to visit Stratford and Warwick. The park was quiet and we found it very convenient to local attractions and restaurants.
A last minute opportunity to get away for a couple of days. I know the area to be pleasant and relaxing so was delighted that the cabin lived up to expectations, being well appointed and comfortable. Great location overlooking the river.
Complaints - pleased to say none actually relate to the accommodation! unfortunately the river boat taxi listed in the literature was not running. Both my partner and I enjoy walking, so we simply substituted a river boat ride for a river side walk! However, this will need updating at some point
Site was immaculate, and we found a fantastic little pub in Stratford upon Avon to visit (The one oak - very much worth a visit!)
I would return in a heartbeat! Thank you
