Bard’s Nest Scholars Cottage is a newly refurbished holiday cottage, finished to a high standard and fitted with all the modern facilities for a comfortable, relaxing stay.

The space
Originally a 19th century cottage and recently refurbished in 2023, Bard’s Nest Scholars Cottage is about 5 minutes’ walk to Royal Shakespeare’s Theatre, 8 minutes to the Birthplace; a variety of shops, pubs and restaurants are just around the corner; it is the ideal holiday accommodation to explore Stratford upon Avon, the nearby Warwick Castle and the picturesque Cotswolds area.
Bard’s Nest Scholars Cottage is a dog friendly holiday home, can accommodate one small-medium sized, well-behaved dog, with an additional charge of £20 per stay. Dog is welcome to stay on the ground floor, but NOT on furniture or 1st Floor.

GROUND FLOOR:

Lounge / dining room
Lounge is fitted with a 3 seater sofa, armchair, a 43" Smart TV offering NETFLIX service + Free-view channels, and a DVD player. The 70MB Wifi allows you to enjoy speedy online surfing.
A large dining table suits for 4 people’s dining.
A small workstation for your reading, dressing or doing some office work.

Kitchen
A modern, sleek kitchen is fully equipped with hob, oven/grill, microwave, Nespresso coffee machine (initial supply of pods provided), large fridge/ freezer, kettle, toaster, pan, steamer, crockery and cutlery and other cooking basics. It is also fitted with a dishwasher and a washer/ dryer.

Bathroom 1
Ground floor bathroom fitted with a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin, mirror and heated towel rail; quality Egyptian cotton towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries provided.

Garden
At the rear of the property, is a south-facing patio garden, with a garden table / chairs where guests can sit and unwind.

1st FLOOR:

Bedroom 1
king size bed, Egyptian cotton bed linen, large window facing the garden, black-out curtains, wardrobe with shelf & clothes hangers, wall hooks, iron / ironing board, hair dryer and armchair.
1 travel cot and 1 highchair are available on request (please bring your own baby linen, as this is not provided)


Bedroom 2
2 single beds, wall mounted Smart TV, Egyptian cotton bed linen, south facing window, black-out curtains, wardrobe with shelf & clothes hangers, wall hooks, hair dryer and armchair.

Bathroom 2
1st floor bathroom, fitted with a walk-in shower, toilet, wash basin, mirror and heated towel rail; quality Egyptian cotton towels, shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and other toiletries provided.

PARKING
We offer 1 free on-street parking on nearby streets. You may not be able to park right in front of the cottage, at the time of your arrival, due to town centre popularity; however there are a great number of nearby streets for parking as well, you should be able to find a space if you don’t mind a little walk back to the cottage. We will provide you the detailed parking spots once booked.

For 2nd car, there is a public car park just 4 mins’ walk away, about : £1 / hour, or £ 15 / 24 hours, or £24 / 2 days; or £36 / 3 days.

Other things to note:
-Strictly no smoking or vaping, inside or out
-Check in is any time after 4:00 pm.
-Check out is LATEST BY 11:00AM
- No parties.
- 1 travel cot, 1 highchair are available upon request (please bring your own baby sheet/ bedding, as this is not provided)
- 1 small-medium sized dog is welcome, please say if you are bringing the dog; there is an additional £20 per stay, please pay together with your room reservation; if not, will request to pay via credit / debit card or paypal. Dog NOT allowed on furniture OR on the 1st floor. Please make sure you check & clear any dog waste, prior to the check out. There is an extra £10 charge for clearing the dog waste.
- Please ensure you don’t leave make up on the white bed linen.
- Please clean up your cooking prior to departure.
- Please ensure you lock the door prior to departure.
- For items left behind there is a handling fee of £5 + p&p to return to guest.
- Free on-street parking for 1 car on the same street of the cottage or nearby streets, please notify us if you come with 1 car.

This home is the perfect place to stay to experience Stratford Upon Avon! It is clean, comfortable, and conveniently located to everything. Judy offered all of the extra touches and treats that made us feel at home… including coffee, sugar, and milk in the refrigerator upon arrival. The area was safe and the parking was close to the home. We were able to walk to all of the historic sites. The garden patio was a delightful place to unwind before and after dinner. We highly recommend!
