"This is the most beautiful cabin you could ever wish for! It is secluded, quiet, and the view from the top is even better than the national park! The drive up the mountain is a little intimidating if you’re not used to driving up mountains like us. It is about 20 minutes up and the closest option for food is about 20 minutes away. That being said you should pack meals to eat in a cooler, we only packed sandwiches and a few snacks but wish we had packed any food we might of wanted. The owners are very nice and accommodating, we really enjoyed waking up to the sunrise over the mountains and plan to go back for another trip! "

"We wanted to get away from everything and stay in a beautiful mountain home where there was no traffic sounds and beautiful sights… this house provided. I will admit- we drove up the mountain to check in late at night and it is about.a 30 minute drive on unpaved roads up the side of a mountain so that was a bit jarring. But- waking up in the morning to the clouds engulfing us because we were on the top of the mountain was amazing and the views were worth it! Once we drove up and down the mountain a couple of times, we adjusted to the pitch of the drive and took on that drive with no problem. The house was super cute and clean. We had 3 adults and 3 kids (7yrs -9yrs). There is yard for the kids to play outside, a fire pit to relax at night around, and a fully stocked kitchen to cook all of our meals. The host was very good about communication and very generous with his home. He had records to listen to and a working record player, a shuffle board table that the kids played on every day, and the beds were all very comfortable! We loved the location of this house and once you got down from the top- it was only about 30 min away from major hikes, access to skyline drive, and Montecello! I would recommend this house to anyone looking to stay near the Shenandoah National Park. A true gem and loved our time! Thank you Andrew!!! We will be back! "

"Very clean and private. Amenities are up to date and stylish. Host are polite and easy to contact. They respond promptly. You will need a 4W drive, as they suggest. Very unique and peaceful. They provide cookware, towels, kitchen appliances and even coffee. The hot top is clean and maintaned. Love the hamock style swing. Fire wood and all needs to start the fire in the fire pit provided. Made it simple. It was a little more expensive then we normally would spend. But it was our 25th anniversary so we paid it to stay somewhere different. No tv. Only thing I wish it had. We are use to watching tv as we fall asleep. But we just used youtube on our phone to watch marathons as we fell asleep. Wifi is great. We had great cell reception, calls and text. Ruckersville offers resturants and that was excellent. Cant complain about steps, youre in a tree house! Lol But I sure made sure I carried belongings to and from vehicle at one time. Parking area was a little difficult to manuver truck in, but doable. Nothing to keep anyone from staying there for sure. It was a great experience and very welcoming!"

"Wonderful cabin in the woods near Shenandoah NP. It was lovely to hear the birds in the morning. The porch is a wonderful place for coffee. The bed was comfortable. The hosts were friendly and check in was easy. Be sure to plan ahead food wise, there aren’t restaurants or stores nearby. This was a wonderful retreat!"
