We stayed two nights, and really enjoyed ourselves and the area. We brought along groceries and enjoyed morning coffee and grilled steaks one night for supper. We found all the dishes and utensils needed for our meals. We spent a fair amount of time in the screened in porch. The beds were comfortable and everyone said that they slept well! Nothing fancy, just a nice place to call home for a couple days! I’d definitely recommend it to a friend!
We had a wonderfully relaxing couple days at the little cottage on the lake. The cottage is well stocked and very comfortable and it is conveniently located about 15 minutes from Hayward.
We had a very nice visit. The cabin was easy to find, and was perfect for our small group. The screened porch was great for avoiding rain and evening mosquitos while still getting to enjoy the sounds and scenery. Fishing was good, lots of bites. Mostly small fish but we caught a few bigger ones. This was exactly what I was looking for when I booked the trip - a quiet and peaceful lake cabin.
We stayed here for a long weekend the weekend of the lumberjack world championship in Hayward. This cabin is a short 15 minute drive from downtown Hayward. Cabin was super clean and had all the comforts of home. Highly recommend this place. The hosts were quick to reply and easy to work with.
Wife and I had a great time at the cabin. Simple, quiet cabin. Kitchen had everything we needed, bed was comfortable, and I enjoyed the small fishing boat. Wish the catching was better, but fishing was great.
We had great luck fishing-6 "keeper" Bass! Recommend taking the kayaks bc the motor on the boat is less than adequate. The constant highway noise is a definite negative-but the location is convenient, the lake is very quiet and the accommodations are comfortable. Appreciate the free (well burning!) firewood! Had a terrible scare on our last night when the next occupant showed up a day early and was trying to get into the cabin!!
This is a beautiful cottage on a small lake. The cottage was clean, well stocked with everything you might have forgotten and the view from the deck is beautiful. Highly recommend. Also, be sure to check out the sunrise over the lake, and watch/listen to all of the Red-Headed Woodpeckers flitting around in the trees!!
Nice cabin, lots of extras. Right on the lake. Lots of birds and woodpeckers. Had a problem with heat instructions- when we got there it was rainy and cold. Had to get in touch with Jason. He told us how to turn the heat on after we sat in the cold for four hours! Next 2 days weather was per. Would recommend and would stay again!
second time staying here and it worked out well again. new air conditioning system was great, cabin was 70 degrees when we arrived on a 90+ degree day. we spent most of our time at family reunion at nearby big siss so didnt spend much time at the cabin other than sleeping.
Property was as advertised. Very clean. Did have a bit of musty smell when we first arrived but had a couple of candles burning and smell did not last long. Would suggest to put a small handle in the shower for a little support getting in and out of tub. Had an enjoyable stay.

Weekend getaway
Unfortunately it rained the entire time so we didn’t get to enjoy the lake or do anything outside.
Place doesn’t have a TV or internet which I didn’t know but was able to stream on a IPad that I brought. Water has rusty smell.
We checked out some local bars in the area on some back roads, are favorite was the Trails end resort bar, good food and atmosphere.
Everything was just as listed on the site. Quite secluded location. Clean and homey. Jason was great to work with. Had an issue with the boat and he drove 2+ hours to take care of it. Would recommend to anyone wanting go get away. Stone Lake is only 5 min away if you need something. Definitely will return next year.
Enjoyed our stay at Jason and Abby's Stone Lake cabin. The cabin was clean and comfortable. My husband appreciated the availability of the boats; he spent much time on the lake fishing. I enjoyed the view of the lake and wildlife from the dock and screen porch while I relaxed with book. I also appreciated the use of the kayaks. The town of Stone Lake, though small, had enough amenities to meet our needs. The hardware store provided a wide variety of fishing supplies. We enjoyed coffee several mornings at the Whistle Punk. And was impressed with the wine and beer selection at the Red Schoolhouse Wines. The staff we met at each establishment were very friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend this cabin.
Second time staying at this property. Overall great experience. Had an issue with the boat but did not let that ruin the day. Great property in a beautiful location. Host very receptive and gets back to you right away.
The property was great. The cabin was well stocked. And was a great getaway for our family. Everyone enjoyed the kayaks! The wifi worked great. The adults enjoyed the fire pit and the scenery. The beds were comfortable. We will definitely be staying here again.
The cabin was very cozy and clean. They had everything supplied that we needed so we had a comfortable stay. Beautiful location. Overall a peaceful and fun weekend stay! Would definitely return.
