This Inn is in an older house that has been beautifully restored. It is very clean, located in a quiet street only a few walkable blocks from downtown Lodi with plenty of dining options. Our biggest complaint was the fact that it listed as "Bed and Breakfast", but they in fact do not offer breakfast. As a matter of fact, they do not offer any of the personalized service of a typical B&B, as they operate mainly as a self-serve housing facility. Upon pointing this out to the manager, we were told that this was mentioned in one of their communication. The problems were that 1) Booking was not refundable and 2) They inundated us so much with notifications (we have received 13 of them) that we did not see these fine prints. We were hoping to get some sort of compensation from the management company for this very misleading advertisement, but this was never offered....

We spent one night at the Grape Escape and would definitely go back! The house is beautiful and comfortable with plenty of lounge spaces and a fabulous kitchen looking out on the back patio and lawn. We used the outdoor grill and fire table at night and enjoyed the peaceful quiet of the backyard. The large front porch was also a great spot for some people watching. The room was comfortable and clean with plenty of toiletries. Our visit was a last minute booking and turned out to be one of our favorite stays on our vacation.

The room is in an old house with a beautiful usable kitchen, outdoor space, living room and sitting room. Situated on a quiet tree lined safe street. Many amenities in the room, robes, toiletries, extra pillows and blankets. Comfortable bed too. I wish we could have stayed longer.

We have never stayed in a property like this, so we found it unique. It is a large old house with 4 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The house is renovated with good taste and is very clean. There were no other guests in the house during our 1-night stay, so we (2 people) had all the common areas to ourselves. This property would be great for a larger group for a special occasion. The large backyard, well-equipped kitchen and two living areas would be wonderful for entertaining. We are not familiar with the area and did not have time to explore so cannot comment on that; it is relatively close (1.5 hr) from the Americal River rafting which is the reason we chose this location before a long drive back to So Cal.

Lots of homeless folks just outside the property and very rude neighbors in the street cursing at me any time I left. The set up was very cute and charming overall. It was very hot upstairs (81) despite adjusting the thermostst but the owner was responsive and gave me a few options to stay cool. This is definitely more of an Airbnb kind of situation than a hotel. Definitely a good place for vacationing to Lodi. I wouldn't recommend if you're needing a place for work trips.

No manager to talk to. Called and missed her and then a text message. I really did not talk to a human during all my transactions. Disappointed. Ran out of tissue paper no back up. No waste basket in the room. Shared the rest of house with strangers. I guess I was expecting a more private situation. Would I do again? NO same opinion as the people I shared the house with. Lucky for me they were friendly and very nice. I was lucky

We only stayed on night at the Grape Escape but it was a fabulous house! Very well appointed, with a big kitchen and a fabulous backyard. My wife said, "well, now we know what our dream house would look like..." Walked to the downtown area and enjoyed the quiet neighborhood so close to all the restaurants and bars.
