Quiet location a mile from a beautiful sandy coastal beach and many scenic attractions, conveniently located in Steuben, which is close to the Bar Harbor region and the Machias area. There are many eatery's and shopping places conveniently located from 10 minutes away to 30 minutes, we are located close to the ATV Sunrise trail, which is road accessible from the cabin. We tend to have many deer and turkeys to watch as well when you are just sitting and enjoying your time away.

This vacation rental is also available for monthly rentals in the winter months

Great comfy cabin
This was a terrific cabin that had everything you could need, was spacious, and was siper clean. The hosts left a nice bottle of wine and a great book on the cabin and area - overall a really nice place!

Absolutely what we wanted!! Close to everywhere we wanted to go. I was able to reconnect with childhood friends and enjoy lobster and all our favorite seafood dishes. The cabin was great! Neat, clean and stocked with everything we needed to include the most important things, lobster pot and pickers!! Thank you for the wine! Thank you for letting us stay there!!

Great area and location
If you don't like to be around too many people, this location is ideal. The best food is at the roadside stands. Don't forget to take a trip to the donnell pond public land nearby!

Cabin in the Woods
The cabin was wonderful. All modern/up to date appliances. Plenty of kitchen counter space to feed a family! The rooms and baths were spacious, clean and comfy. Multiple televisions for entertainment to relax after a long day at the National Park.

Our perfect honeymoon.
The house wasn't exactly like the listing. It was better! This place was amazing! It was the pefect place for our honeymoon. The Flaherty's were fantastic hosts and very understanding about our dogs. They also have great taste in wine and seafood. I cannot reccomend this place highly enough.

Overall, it was excellent. We place a premium on cleanliness and the hosts delivered! It had everything we needed. Appreciated the directions/menus to local sites. Chipmans Wharf was awesome! The rooms were roomy, the kitchen fully equipped. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this property. It is a bit secluded but otherwise excellent overall!

Fully Updated Home
We booked this for a couple of nights to explore Downeast. We had never ventured further than Acadia so wanted a place for our two dogs and adult son to serve as a base. The home was totally renovated by the property owner's and the pride of workmanship shows. Tastefully decorated it had all new appliances, kitchen and bathrooms. Would highly recommend this to anyone visiting this region.

Tranquility
If you need peace and quiet to unwind after a visit to Acadia National Park and the surrounding communities, this rental is all that plus more. Cute mountain and beach decor, wonderful open layout, nice double head shower and comfy beds. There is nothing that you would want for in this cabin except for more vacation time. The owners are very attentive and responsive. Thanks for letting us spend time in your beautiful cabin!

Awesome!
Everything was awesome! We wished we could have spent more time at the cabin, having a campfire, BBQ, etc, but we had made so many plans for sightseeing that we got back after dinner almost every night. What time we did spend, we enjoyed very much. It was very comfortable. I think we would stay longer next time so we could relax a day or two.

Cute cabin that was perfect for a relaxing getaway. Charming decor in every room and place was prepared spotlessly for us. Was pretty spacious for my group of 4. Probably could have comfortable fit a 5th guest on the sofa bed. The area is very quiet and felt safe, there is also a beach right up the road which was so serene. Added plus was that Vicki & Steve were very pleasant communicating before, during, and after the stay.

A Hidden Gem Near Acadia
My mom and I did a girls trip over labor day weekend and really enjoyed our stay at the Rustic Pines Cabin. It was easy to get to, not far off US Route 1. The cabin is located on a quite peaceful lot surrounded by woods. The cabin itself was beautiful and sparkling clean!! It was so nice to be greeted by a lovely welcome note from the hosts with a bottle of local wine after a long drive. Kitchen was functional, beds were comfy and the bathrooms were modern and spacious. My dog who traveled with us also felt very comfortable in the cabin. She also really loved the raised food/water bowls the hosts left out for 4 legged friends. The hosts also had a guide to the area which was helpful as we had never traveled to Downeast Maine before. It was only about an hour from Acadia National Park but if you stay here read the host guide as there are many other things to do in the area that are worth the detour. We plan to come back to the area sometime in the future and would definitely stay here again.

Maine comfort
Cabin (think house) had everything you could need. Plenty of room for a family that wanted to explore the area (not a great yard for kids to play in). We liked the cabin so much that we decided to relax inside more than we had planned. And, if you like seafood (aka lobster 😁) there is a wharf 15 min away with great prices and fresh lobsters…..then come back to the cabin’s great kitchen to cook. One more thing, the 2 person shower off the master is heavenly !

Cozy, Roomy Cottage
We were amazed at this cottage upon arrival. Honestly, the pictures do not do it justice. The kitchen is well stocked, the beds are comfortable, and the double shower head in the master is an added luxury. The proximity to Scoodic Point and Tidal Falls is AMAZING! You must check out Tidal Falls at high and low tide - low tide led to some amazing tide pools and sunset, and high tide meant seals. We loved getting to explore what Maine has to offer away from the busyness of Acadia National Park (we did that too, but preferred closer to "home") They availability of Vicki and Steve was amazing. If you are headed their way, do yourself a favor and stay in this amazing cabin!

Everything was great, except they’re were no closets to hang your clothes. The Wi-Fi was not good. It went in and out. The VRBO app didn’t work so we could message to ask about the Wi-Fi.

Cabin Oasis
When you first arrive upon the property it is a little deceiving. There is still work being done to improve the exterior. However, once you code into the house, you feel like you are in a totally different place, forgetting everything outside that door. The house was impeccably clean and well decorated. Giving you both the outdoor woodsy feeling as well as the ocean touch, which Maine is all about. Everything possible was provided, from linens, to appliances, both large and small. All utensils and then some. A deck with a big grill, and patio set, as well as a fire pit. Waiting for us was a nice note from the hosts welcoming us as well as fresh flowers and a bottle of blueberry wine, locally made. We couldn’t be more pleased. We would highly recommend these hosts and would plan to stay there again when returning to Maine.♥️

We enjoyed our stay at Rustic Pines Cabin. It was very clean and nicely decorated. While it was located away from towns, it was very peaceful. Vicki and Steve were very responsive to questions we had. Thank you for a wonderful stay.
